Scholarships Rock, State Sucks.
I got the top scholarship, which cut my tuition needs in half. Plus I got some additional help from an essay that the school offers every year (you can get covered up to full tuition depending on your essay). However, due to recent changes in the state, FAFSA is no longer helpful. Last year it covered us well, but this year kids from no income families are 10K in debt because our governor has a 'if kids can't afford college, they don't deserve to go' attitude. Which is bull. Don't give up on your dream just because of a prick.
