I don't have any interaction with the Student Body at my school.
College Sophomore 2013-07-01T19:49:44Z
Most of them are about their school work but they can be pretty friendly.

They are invested in the student's success and are readily accomodating to those with disabilities.

The Academic Advisors are great. They take their
time enrolling you in courses you truly need and will succeed in.
You can make an appointment or walk in for an appointment. Depending on the time of year you are enrolling in, your wait for an advisor if you don't have an appointment is usually an hour. They are all very friendly and go into thorough detail.
OSU-OKC Campus does not offer B.A.'s so General Education/Basic Core Classes are the most popular. They also have great programs for certificate degrees such as early childhood development or firefighter. The classes here are more convenient for students with a full work schedule or children because they offer so many online courses and after-hour courses.

Love my first semester at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City. The professors are great and understanding. The overall experience was wonderful and all the staff members are kind and friendly. This campus give a small town feel to a large University.

Excellent Staff. I feel that there should be more workshops as Building your Resume, and Finding out what is your Career and Leadership style. Courses and Workshops where students can feel more comfortable applying for their career job.

They have a great program used for online class. It is easy to learn the system and well put together. I enjoy using it to turn in my assignments and look at graded work. There is a discussion board for the class to share ideas too.

Im not there yet but Ive heard of many classes and opportunities to assist those who have graduated as well as career fairs on campus!

I am completely satisfied with the instructors flexibility and grading systems.
College Senior 2013-02-27T18:08:21Z
They are set up well and are easy to follow. Even though it is an online class you can still get in touch with the Teacher as needed.

I am an older student and I don't interact with much on campus. But I hear other students talking and they seem to be pleased with the campus life.

They are very helpful when you have any problems with your financial aid. They are quick to get back with you and someone with most usually answer the phone.

I have never used them, so I would not be qualified to answer this question.

I've typically have had problems elsewhere. Here I believe they do a very good job. No place is perfect. I have had very very few issues here.

It's super cool! Finally,I have met people like me! I really enjoyed one class in particular. It was a game development class. I learned a lot, not just about the subject but about creativity. The professor was funny and made learning fun. I actually looked forward to that class.

In short, I really enjoy everything about this college....from the helpful professors, to the FREE tutors, to the beauty of the campus. It's the best school I have been to.

They are great,wellness center,golf course,computer labs etc.
College Sophomore 2013-01-30T03:24:32Z
There isn't a need for your own personal computer, they have hundreds of computers for use. Although a larger university has longer library hours (after 9pm), there is no strict limit on printing. The internet is fast (works well for Netflix if you're waiting between classes) and works everywhere, including the Horticulture/Vet building. The Student Success Center not only has computers but tutors and academic workshops. The Writing lab has computers for use. You can rent calculators from the Student Success Center. If you don't understand something or just need help with your computer, the IT lab is on the first floor in the middle of the campus to help you out quickly. There is even a gaming lounge in the cafeteria, although you can't print, you can spend an hour playing your favorite RPGs.

You can sign up online or through an advisor. There are loads of times to choose from. There are so many classes to choose from. If you want to take something other than the regular Humanities you can take Argumentation or Religions of Mankind. They offer Viticulture classes. They have upper level classes if you plan on transferring and want to knock some out like Microbiology, Trigonometry, Chemistry. The Technical Report Writing does not transfer to OSU-Stillwater so be careful. I am currently in Landscape Design with 6 students. At other schools this class would be dropped due to so few students! There are workshops and tutors always available. If you need help tutoring in a subject they don't have like American Government, shoot them an email and they are more than willing to find someone to help you out. If you're a hands-on person interested in Sustainable Energy you can learn that. They have practical degrees, so that way you are successful. The curriculum is clearly laid out for you. The workload: They realize that most students are parents or full-time workers. They give plenty of time in class and plenty of time to do your assignments. At first I wasn't a fan of math being done entirely online except the lectures/tests, but changed my mind since I can redo my homework until I get 100%, take Pre-tests, have videos of step by step explanations. So far all but a few have shown how you can learn the material by seeing, doing, and hearing. They stress on having options for successful learning. You can build get relationships with the professors/advisors, which in the end is beneficial for you when you need a reference.

There is a large variety of students. There is a large deaf community. There are a lot of guys on campus for Police Training. I have seen hippies and hipsters. The foreigners seem to be all African. There is a wide generation coverage. The youngest in my math class was 17 and the oldest was mid-50s. The average age I would say is mid-twenties, but don't hold me to that. There are so many different ages that it is hard to pin point exactly. I would say that most of the people who are taking a 2nd chance at college or young adults who still live at home. Financially it is hard to tell, but by looking around everyone is in the working class.

I have been to Oklahoma State University and The University of Central Oklahoma. OSU-OKC is an excellent bang for your buck. Most of the professors also teach at other universities. For example, 3 of 4 of my professors last semester taught at OU or other small community colleges. The classroom experience is perfect. If I wish I would have started out here rather than wasting it on the large campus experience. It is well-maintained. The campus is pleasing to the eye, they have a wonderful Horticulture/Turfgrass Management program. They have a gym with showers! They solved the horrible street blocking/traffic jam by adding 2 roads. They are currently adding a parking garage. The counselors are there to actually help you with your career choice and talk to you about old student career paths. The classes are small, and the teachers are wonderful. The first week of the semester always has free food. The cafeteria has a great selection (even for Veggies). The IT desk is extremely helpful. You rarely have to wait long to talk to someone, like financial aid or academic advisor. They are always willing to help and explain everything you need to take care of before you walk away. You are never placed on hold. The student life is great. They are always having some kind of explore your career fair, take your professor to lunch with a free ticket, and have tutoring labs. The library is wonderful, and it evens has a lounging area to sleep or study in. There's a well maintained golf course on campus!
Needless to say, coming from 2 large universities, I was pleasantly surprised. I see exactly where my money is going and it is wisely spent. OSU-OKC has a great atmosphere and keeps students yearning for more.

The wifi they have makes it easy to bring your laptops to school and work on your homework in the cafeteria
