There are many people of different races and religions at Olivet College. At one time the school had a poor reputation with blacks and whites, but that has improve drastically.

I received a modest amount of scholarships. I could have earned more if my GPA would have been higher than a 3.0, but mine was a 2.86 in high school. If you live closer to Olivet college you can even get a larger scholarship.

Olivet College offers a class to help students with preparing for class, studying, how to read a book, and test taking. I have always struggled with comprehension and for the first time of my life I completed by winter/spring semester with a 4.0 GPA.

Parking and permits are free on campus. There are certain areas that you are required to park in depending if you are a first, second, third, or fourth years student. As a freshman the parking is not the greatest.

Olivet College Campus life is a wonderful place for someone that grew up in a small community. The faculty influences students to achieve their goals. This last summer the cafeteria was renovated giving more spacious seating. There are several organization that you can join not to mention the two magnificent gyms for students to work out in.

Olivet seems to be in an area that does not get hit as hard with snow like other surrounding areas. However, and can get icy from time to time. Classes occasional get canceled if the weather is bad. Dorms are not too far from the main campus and cafeteria.

Even though this was a private school I received a scholarship just based on me living near the school. The scholarship was very helpful but if you do not have any other support it can be hard. Still there are some great scholarships and the people try their best to help you get them.

Olivet College is a very small school and even though I am not in a Greek many people are in a Greek. I have a busy schedule with work and school and a Greek is not something that I can take on myself. But if you have nothing to do and want to make some really great friends I would highly recommend a Greek to join. But if you don't no one would be looked down upon.

I feel as though the housing is very similar to other colleges throughout the area that I have seen. It may not be the best, but hey that is what living in a dorm is all about! There is working cable, shower and refrigerator is almost every room. Again it could be a lot worse and I am grateful for what it gives me.

It is not a big deal is you aren't in a frat or sorority, but that is where most of the parties are. There are many organizations to pledge to.

The city has a Subway and small restaurants. All the fast food is in Charlotte which is only a 10 minute easy drive.

It is college so there is drinking and drugs. Campus safety and the police officers in the city are strict and if you get caught, you will be getting an MIP and a nice fine.

Dorm life is really convenient. The only downside is that some of the rooms are a lot smaller than they should be.

For school food, this is pretty good. Everything is in a serve yourself style, and there are a lot of option.

The Kirk Center gets the job done but never has much of a healthy option. The hours that it is actually open can actually conflict with class times and there are days where students do not get a lunch and/or dinner. Also, the quality of food is not necessarily at its best when it comes to grease or being cooked well.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
