Parking on campus is terrible. Be sure to get to campus at least 15minutes before your class to ensure you'll get a space and make it to class on time. If you are on public streets over 2 hours, you will get a ticket. If you park on campus without a permit, you'll receive a $15.00 ticket.

Drugs and alcohol are not acceptable at OHSU. We have a strict drug policy and were given a test before being accepted into the courses.

Guys & Girls:
Typical students are mixed between agriculture, teachers and pre/med students. They appear to be healthy, well dressed and happy. I notice there doesn't seem to be an excessive amount of "clicks" at the schools campus. Both the guys and girls seem very young though-younger than 25.

I do not access the dining areas, but I know the areas available are relatively healthy and fast.

Nursing programs are all very competitive, so getting into one can be difficult. This program weighs heavily on your GPA and the essay that you write. It's very helpful to have a 4.0 GPA and to have some experience in the field, this will help when you write your essay.

They have two scholarships that I was able to apply for since I'm going to the Ashland campus. Make sure that you check on scholarships earlier than later. One of the scholarships had a preferred deadline of March 1st. It's better to have too much time than turn it in late and hope that you get something.

Most of the night life consists of bars in La Grande. Most students hang out together and bbq at there homes or camp out on weekends in the mountains. There are the rodeos and karaoke nights to shake things up some but it is pretty limited in La Grande.
College Sophomore 2013-07-22T14:59:33Z
The La Grande campus is very cold because of the constant wind in the winter and even in the spring. If you have to travel Ladd Canyon can be closed or clogged with Truckers making a commute difficult.

Yes, I am expected to have one at the end of my program. I am sure it will be just as when I received my BSN, I wll be able to take an internship on the Oregon Coast in my own community, if I choose to. They are very flexible at OHSU!

In the winter it can cometimes be hard to get around if there's ice on the roads. Otherwise it is not so bad. Summer's are EPIC!

Because it is a hospital University there are many "hoops" to jump through when applying to and completing all required documents before ever registering for classes! This is the only downfall to OHSU. I recommend that you go online to the "students" tab and just follow step by step the process and take lots of deep breaths! The people are there in the admissions office to assist you but unfortunatley, they arent always very polite.

I received my BSN at OHSU and I was very pleased with the campus, their online education program and loved the "intensive" classes that were sometimes offered. The instructors and professors were respectful and very helpful throughout my program. I am excited to start the Nursing Education Masters program this Fall!

There is a public bus stop located at the school and many things are within walking distance.

At the Klamath Falls Campus we share parking with the OIT campus as well. It can be very difficult at times to find a parking space. Best advice is to show up 20-30 minutes earlier to make sure you have time to walk to class.
College Senior 2013-06-07T01:26:18Z
We have a wide range of weather (from snow to sunshine) here at the Klamath Falls Campus.

There is no on-campus housing. This may be changing in the near future, with a building possibly designated for student housing. But the amount of housing even then will be quite small. There is a lot of near-campus housing, however.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
