Our network is very fast but about once every two weeks it goes down for something. I don't really need my computer because we have many computers that are ready for me to use.

My school has great resources. All branches of my school has libraries and I'm able to ask someone to help me if I need to print or look something uo for a class.

My school has great programs. They've partnered with a four year college I can transfer to, to continue my education and my school helps me with what classes are right for my major.

Most of my student body is a friendly hard working class. They're very friendly but are focused on working towards their careers.

I took several classes over my load on a couple semesters, but still passed them with very high marks. Getting into classes was very easy.

Computer Labs – There are 2 offices on campus to access computers. Both offices have more than enough computers for students to use. Printing ability is nearby and students have access to this as well. The start up on the computers in the Learning & Resource Center are not as speedy as the ones in the Start Center. But, they are fast enough once you get logged on.

The Learning & Resource Center was open during school hours and there was always someone there that was willing to help with any problem.

The students at Owensboro Community & Technical College are friendly and helpful. There is a good mix of ethnic students at the school.

I took a math course online several years ago and enjoyed it very much. I was able to move at my own pace except having tests scheduled on campus. This was in 2003-2004 and we weren't able to access tests online at that time. I have enrolled in an online class for the Fall 2012 semester and am very excited about it.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Being a high school student and taking being in college at OCTC I was able to be helped financially with the costs of these classes.

My teachers at this school really strive to teach their objective.
College Sophomore 2013-09-11T05:09:19Z
OCTC is a very laid back campus but they're serious about getting so many students graduated and into a successful career. The social aspect of OCTC could be worked on to make more people socialize with someone they don't know.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
They were always extremely busy but would help when they could.

One of the best things about OCTC is the flexible scheduling. I love that no matter what days I'm working, there always seems to be class availability that works seamlessly around my schedule. Since I work two jobs, it was difficult to decide when I was able to come to campus. Instead of taking all of my classes in person, I signed up for online bi-terms, which worked out fine.

The far as facilities go on campus, the most they have is a library and some campus activities throughout the year. If I have issues with finding resources for a project, I know that I can always go to the library for help.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I am not able to receive financial aid at OCTC, so I have to make monthly payments on my tuition. Personally, I don't feel that the value of education is worth the amount of money that OCTC charges. The other issue I have is that OCTC is that I feel they are very rigid towards students when it comes to the open line of communication about all of their fees. When I signed up for my classes, I felt as if I was constantly getting new "fees" sprung up on me, which added even more of a financial burden.

Some professors and instructors are quite dedicated in being a resource for their students. They are also willing to make sure to help their students pass the courses. Some of the teachers are able to answer questions in the most coherent and intellectual manner. Some of the professors work very hard at their endeavors.

I'm a Computer Science major at one school, and this school I transferred over to for cheaper credits on courses. I enjoy the fact I can learn so much for cheaper price versus having to pay so much for my education. I work very hard as a student. I'm dexterous and meticulous at how I manage my time efficiently with school work. I love the factor of being in a lyceum while working two jobs altogether. I get tired sometimes, but the workload is paying off from being dedicated in such field of study (Computer Science).

Originally, I was a little hesitant to take online classes, but now I've grown to love them! I enjoy the independence of being able to do the classes whenever I wish. The only disadvantage that I see about online classes is the lack of face-to-face interaction and there is a heavier homework load compared to normal classes.
College Senior 2013-07-17T18:07:13Z
OCTC has a variety of programs in and outside of the classroom. In the spring, there are normally activities such as outdoor movies, campus parties, etc. Since we're in a small town, it does help that we have things that everyone can do together.
College Senior 2013-07-17T17:52:38Z
The internet access on and off campus is excellent! I feel that when I need to do online classes away from school, I'm able to do them with ease and flexibility. The only complaint is that sometimes Blackboard may be down during important due dates, which can sometimes cause confusion.

Community college that offers associate degrees. Unless you apply for a specific program such as nursing, surgical technician, etc you really have nothing to offer to a job position. You go from one stepping stone to another and your best bet is to transfer to a 4 year university and continue your education.

Helpful, caring, driven, great place to begin college
College Senior 2013-07-01T02:48:57Z
So far everyone is helpful, class size is wonderful. The people in the financial aid department, admissions, and guidance are great. Some instructors arn't with the groove of things, but most of the instructors are great. All in all it's a great place to start your education.

Excellent library, computer network Blackboard easy to use on and off of campus.
