I haven't really experienced any serious weather yet. It's really cold, but campus life is still good.

I haven't seen anything like it on campus. None of my classmates nor I part take in those types of things.

My school has an Inter-professional class that gets all the health professions together to allow us to gain knowledge of what each one does and how we would refer clients to them.

We have a cool room called the Oasis, where you can chill by yourself for 45 minutes.

Parking is close to everything. The only issue is the small amount of parking spaces, since more people have cars now than 100+ years ago when Pacific came to be.

Guys & Girls:
I mean, it's not that different from other schools... except the amount of people doing sports. Like, the majority of campus plays at least one sport.

There's a bus stop South of campus. You'd have to take that to get to a light rail station to go anywhere else. And we only have 2 Zip cars.

i don't live off campus, but a lot of my friends do. They say they like not having restraints of residence hall life, but sometimes feel disconnected. Also, Forest Grove is very small, so there aren't always cheap and close-by options to live.

I'm an RA this year, and I'm the VP of one of the sororities. It's very easy to get involved on campus since it's so small, and I love that I recognize most people I see. At a big University, that wouldn't happen. I would definitely choose it again. Although, one of the number one reasons people leave is the size of the school. So if you want a small school, this is right for you. If not... a big school would be better.

Health & Safety:
CPS is really great. But that doesn't mean there aren't sometimes drunk or homeless Grovers around campus.

There are a lot of really incredible professors here, that truly care about students and learning. Registration can be a pain if your major has few professors, like psychology and anthropology, because there are very limited spaces in classes.

While attending a university that has a lower tuition would probably be easier, the financial aid I received from the university made it possible for me to attend Pacific. If you work hard and get good grades in high school, it will pay off at university, specifically in the form of merit scholarships. At Pacific, if you qualify, you're automatically approved for a variety of merit based scholarships.

Most of the on campus housing facilities are either newer or remodeled. A new dormitory is being built; it'll open in time for next fall and house two hundred beds. The newer housing is really nice.

While alcohol consumption is relatively evident in some scenarios, there is very little drug abuse. Policies are enforced, and peer pressure isn't a big deal.

I love this university, especially the faculty to student ratio.

There are always computers available in the library or the 24 hour study room, both macs and pc's, and all are connected to all the campus printers which you are given $60 worth of printing on every year.

Forest Grove doesn't have that many options although it has a few good local places, but we are an hour out from Portland with all of the diversity that offers and there is public transport if you lack a car.

Alcohol is allowed in the residence halls for students who are of age provided they do not share with underage students. There are incidents of underage drinking, and occasional drug use, but Student Life handles the cases well.

Undergraduate campus does a lot of recruiting from Hawaii.

There are lots of ways to participate in school athletics which is really great. I am currently on a school volleyball team.

So far it has been good. I have enjoyed it, because it is very interactive and have learned a lot about muscles and how the body works. The facility is very nice and clean and the teachers and students I interact with are all very friendly.

2 of the newer dorms are excellent, but on average, the 4 other dorms are average, making it a B for me. Many things are new and some things break easily.

It's beautifully naturally colored from all the greenery around and on campus. The weather itself is typical Oregon weather, there's a little bit of every season, including lots of rain!

I chose Pacific University because it offers majors of all areas which really pleased me. I changed my major my freshmen year from my first option to my second option because Pacific allows for it's students to have options. All of my professors so far have been nothing but amazing, they really make it their job to show you that you and your education to them is very valuable to them. The class sizes here are fairly on the small side when compared to other universities so it makes classes more interactive and much more worth both yours and the professor's time.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
