There are always computers available in the library or the 24 hour study room, both macs and pc's, and all are connected to all the campus printers which you are given $60 worth of printing on every year.

Three computer labs, so I can almost always find a computer. Only hard thing to do is print from personal computer to a network printer. Whole campus is WiFi capable.

Pacific University's computers are all united over a single network with servers hosting student projects for them, available to access anywhere on the campus. Networking speed is reasonably fast, and access is available in virtually all dorm rooms. Some ISPs offer students the ability to upgrade their speeds and bandwidth through Pacific University. The computers in the computer labs are running on Windows 7 Professional at the time of this writing, and have access to plenty of otherwise expensive software. The technology center can also assist students with installing software to their own computers, or with connecting to the network. The printers are all connected over the network as well, allowing students to print to the server in general from their computer, and then pick up the paper at any given printer on campus. I would recommend that any student have their own laptop, however. Windows 7 is ideal, though Windows 8 suffices in most cases as well. Mac users may need to use Boot Camp to install Windows, but the tech center can help with that as well and the Windows license is covered already for the student.

If labs are unavailable then a personal computer is very handy and sometime internet speed can be slow. However there are many when wireless connection is good the use of a laptop becomes very convenient and you could study anywhere on campus with the use of the Wi-fi. Printing costs are reasonable as well.

There are quite a few computer labs on campus. They have both PC and Macs throughout campus. At the beginning of the year, the school gives your $60 for printing a semester. It is really good. There are quite a few printers throughout campus, so you are able to print your paper almost anywhere (given you sent it to the printer). Another good thing about the printers is that there are printers in the dorms. Students can just go to the printing station within their dorm and head to class.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
