Pasadena City College has had online courses for many years; however, there is not a wide selection of courses to choose from. There are two types of online courses: hybrid and online-only courses. Both require homework submission solely through the Pasadena City College Blackboard website. Online courses save students time and let them work at home peacefully. If a student has questions about his or her online courses, he or she has an online help center that can be contacted by phone or through the website.

Someone who takes an online course does not have to be really tech-savvy; he or she just has to be well organized and self-motivated to stay on top of his or her studies. In order to turn in assignments and complete quizzes, the main requirements include Microsoft Office programs and Internet access.
