My major is one of the only ones that are offered for four years at this campus. Throughout those four years I will keep the same three professors, so I am able to gain a close bond with my professors.

Guys & Girls:
There is no one particularly attractive on campus. The average student wears their Penn State gear all the time. If you are not wearing Penn State clothing, you are usually wearing a tshirt with whatever type of slacks you want to wear.

For my intended major the academics are excellent in my point of view. The college is one of my cheapest options, the teachers are very challenging, and at Penn State Beaver my major is offered for 4 years.

There is rarely ever any drinking. Most of the people who drink are of age and are not abusing the alcoholic beverages. There is one club in Pittsburgh, which is about 45 minutes away, that is 18 and older. At the club the security is very, very strict. Your best bet to find a party is either finding a High School Party or another college that is somewhat close to campus.

They are okay. You can only really major in three things at PSU Beaver without having to move to another campus to finish them. THe few are majors like psychology, IT, and a business type major. So just check ahead of time and plan on if you need to move eventually to finish your major.

I would say that some classes are better than others. Some instructors are very helpful and others are not so helpful. The campus is great and studying facilities are also. A lot of activities are held on campus making it easy to interact.

Though I can't say that the dorms are the greatest, everyone in the residence hall is nice and, sometimes, I even forget I'm in a dorm! It's a great experience, and though Harmony Hall could be better, I would recommend it to anyone looking to save money on gas or are looking to apply to Penn State Beaver.

Though I haven't chosen my major yet, I've had a great variety of help from the Penn State Beaver community to help me find what I want to major in. So far, I've been working toward chemical engineering and both my advisor and staff members have helped me tremendously.

Cheating, honor, and integrity are treated very seriously. You will never get a pass on stealing someones work.

You can always find an open computer on campus. All of the computer labds have at least 30 computers in them and they are never all occupied at the same time.

Small Campus – Since its such a small campus everything is close by. The dorm is right next to the cafeteria, and like 2 minuts away from all the classrooms. The dorm contains appoximatly 200 students (males & females). Because it's small the dorm is pretty strict and everything is always in order. The cost is not that bad since you have many things close by.

It's a Small College in a Small Town. Almost everyone is white (roman catholic). Even though there is not much diversity, I arrived at Penn State Beaver and I came as an international student from Puerto Rico, everyone on and out of the campus treated me excelent. A 90% of the campus demostrates intrest in other cultures.

Keep the Drinking and Drugs Away – This campus cracks down hard on drinking and drugs. Otherwise, it's pretty hard to get in trouble.
College Junior 2012-07-20T19:43:53Z
Since this campus is so small, you get to know a lot of people, which makes it easier to network.

Boring, but You Keep Busy – There isn't a whole lot to do on or around campus, but the Student Activities holds at least 2 events a week. However, the new Wellness Center just opened up, so that should give us lots to do this upcoming semester.

It's Windy at the Top of a Hill – The campus is situated at the top of a hill, so when it's windy, IT'S WINDY. However, it's such a small campus that most other forms of weather aren't really a problem for those living on-campus.

A Racial Difference – On and off campus there are alot of whites. There are less black students then most race on campus. Most of the whites are very friendly, others not so much.

You Will Get Tired of the Food – At Penn State Beaver the food is very perdictable. We have the same meals for seven days a week. People get very tired of eating the same things. Once in a while we would have something different.
College Junior 2012-04-18T15:11:58Z
All Way Available – The computer labs at Penn State Beaver are always availble if you need them. If one of the labs are colsed you can ask the police on campus to open another one for you. They also have very fast computers which is a great thing for students who are in a rush.
College Freshman 2012-04-12T12:35:34Z
Not a Problem – The drug scene at this campus is not a problem due to the small size of the student body.
College Freshman 2012-04-12T12:34:25Z
There is plenty to do for activities if you want to participate. There is transportation to the main campus for sporting events.
I am not old enough for nightlife, so it means nothing to me.

Health & Safety:
I Feel Safe – Penn State Beaver campus has roughly a 1,000 student body with 200 kids living on campus. I believe the campus is safe and is covered by a police department.
I will be communting and feel safety is not an issue for me.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
