If there's any sport that's important here is the football team. They are the pride of Penn State. They have other sports like baseball, volleyball basketball and soccer. But Football is it.

CATA Bus!

There are four free bus routes between campus and downtown. Two run late night. They run relatively frequently and are easy to keep track of using either the CATA bus website or a CATA app for iPhone and Droids. They tend to be packed, especially between classes, but if a bus fills up there's probably another one right behind it.

Girls and Guys

I would assume it is average to most Northern schools. Some are nice, some are not.
