Considering that there are 40,000 young people on campus, you’re bound to find someone you think is hot, and vice versa. If there’s no one in your immediate vicinity, keep your eyes open during class, at the HUB, and downtown. Girls tend to take more pride in their appearance (or are just more interested in attracting attention) than guys do, so they tend to be better looking and generally have a more “put-together” appearance. On a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night, the majority of girls get pretty dressed up, guys make themselves presentable, and people look to meet each other.
True to the party school stigma, students seem to lean towards “hookups” or casual relationships, rather than more serious connections. It’s also been a tradition that the student body gets hotter in the spring, when clothes come off and the lawns are crowded with sunbathers, athletes and others. You must remember that with the amount of alcohol flowing through Penn State, it can become difficult to figure out who’s hot and who isn’t, regardless of what conventional standards or common sense might tell you.
