Grad school - so not much greek life
College Sophomore 2013-11-26T15:35:57Z
Good experience because the staff and the students are very warm and welcoming people and we all are focused on becoming good doctors.

There is not greek life on this campus, so greeks vs non-greeks in not an issue.

The process of applying is usually easy and basic. The school requires parent information even if FASFA does not, which is inconveinent. I feel since graduate students do not qualify for Fasfa scholarships, the school should offer something.

Health & Safety:
The only time I feel concerned is after class, which is about 8:30pm, in the parking garage. Overall, there is not a strong presence of security, but since it is a small quiet campus, it is not usually an issue.

There are apartments within 5 minutes of the campus. The campus is also close to neightborhoods 10 to 15 minutes away, which are closer to more food and entertainment. Prices vary depending on the area. Parking can be difficult in some areas.
College Senior 2013-03-01T02:03:49Z
The parking garage is right on campus. The cost is semi fair, but it starts at 3:30 which is not always conveinent if there are times you need to come early, and there is not a lot of free parking around. Therefore, anytime you need to come when the permit does not cover, it is an extra 5 dollars per visit. Furthermore, it is not always easy finding a spot. There is a lot of reserved spots.

There is not much diversity on campus, however I have never encountered situations of intolerance and non-acceptance among my peers who are different from the majority (in relation to sexual orientation, religion, and racial/ethnic backgrounds)

The computers are not very fast and not up to date. Printing is always an issue with old printers. Wireless access can be slow at times.
College Junior 2013-01-04T21:25:03Z
There are some really great apartment buildings and complexes around the area, however the problem lies with the fact that there are not enough choices.
College Sophomore 2012-12-19T22:32:51Z
There is garage parking and lot parking with plenty of space but costs a yearly amount that's added to tuition. A lot of students also park at the nearby target parking lot. And there is limited street parking.

Traffic is horrible on City Line Avenue, but there are buses that will get you to the heart of Center City Philadelphia if needed, which are usually on time with the normal exceptions such as the holiday rush when things might be delayed or weather problems. and from Center City Philly, there is transportation that will take you most everywhere else, so if you're trying to get to somewhere else in the area without a car, the route might be a little circular.

I was accepted late, but no one has mentioned a work about scholarships. My undergrad, Westminster College, was great about helping its students in this process, but this school doesn't seem to care to help at all.

I love the school, however I wished the medical school and the psychology programs were more integrated. I chose to study health psychology here because it was a medical school, but it seems like the programs are in completely separate schools, which is a real disappointment.

There are always security guards at the doors and not only do they keep us safe but they are very nice too!!!

there is no greek life on this campus, therefore I cannot give them a grade.

I work in the computer lab, and they are always updated and very helpful.

This school has professionals who teach, which is nice because you can ask them professional questions.

You have to register your car, therefore, if you have a friends car it could get towed in the parking garage... Also, if you don't pay x dollars per month you have to pay $5 per entry into the garage.
College Senior 2012-10-09T14:26:56Z
It is chilly, but not too cold yet... however, I just moved here so we will see.
College Senior 2012-10-09T14:24:27Z
There is nothing good about the food around here. Everything is a chain and therefore over priced. We need some food that is priced for graduate students and maybe even a local farmers market.
College Senior 2012-10-09T14:23:08Z
As with any city, apartments are easy to find. I was lucky to find one with such a great landlord within walking distance to school.

Pllenty of Things to Do! As a serious student who is always studying it is important to keep a balanced life and PCOM and the area around it offers that for sure. Even the apartment communites that the students live in have cook outs and get togethers to keep us from going crazy. It really is a great place to be!

Awesome School – I can not say enough about how awesome of a program it is here. It has felt more like a close family rather than a competitive school. Everyone is supportive and stays focused. I couldn't have asked for a better situation to be in.

Great Place! I have never felt so safe at a college campus. The staff is so warm and friendly, the students are so helpful to each other it is an over all great atmosphere to be at for 4 years of stressful studying. Campus personal and security are always around if you need them but stay smart lock up and don't walk around in the dark by yourself and you'll be good to go!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
