For being a small-town university, it offers a large variety of groups, extra curricular activities, etc. I took part in the FSU/PC&TC Chamber Choir my whole second year, and it was a blast! In the Spring semester, we even got the opportunity to go to Florida so we could display our talents. There are also theatrical events/plays held at the college, which are often free for students. Sports events are also open to the public. All these things make my small home town a little more interesting and help bring the whole community together.

I really love the school I attend now and the school I am going to attend in January, which are both on the same campus. I grew up in the same town (Fairmont, WV) and was not comfortable going out of town for college for a variety of reasons. The main campus is not spread across town, so you can walk to all your classes and not have to worry about driving across town to get to your classes. I also like the fact that there is a large variety of students; there are a lot of foreign exchange students and non-traditional students. Although scheduling is somewhat limited, there are no other schools I would rather attend.

Within the first two years I attended college, I had no problems with scheduling because I was taking General Studies courses. Since these are classes almost everyone is required to take, there was a large variety of class times and locations. However, now that I have completed those types of classes and have started taking more degree-specific classes, I have had a lot more trouble with scheduling. The required Management courses I have been taking toward an Allied Health Administration degree are very limited, and some have only one class available to take. The ones that have more options only have a couple options for the main campus (where I attend classes) and the rest are offered in other counties, which is inconvenient. It would be nice if they could make more online courses available so these issues would not occur as often.

I really liked taking my online courses! In these courses, you still had deadlines you had to meet like you do in regular courses, but you did not have to meet in-person as often. Online courses are great for people with busy schedules or those who cannot personally attend college courses. The only disadvantage I encountered was that I procrastinated too much, but I do that with the courses I attend on campus as well.

My experience at Pierpont, has been amazing, before when i thought about college i thought its really not for me. Now with how reasonable everyone is including teachers, councillors and administrators I'm glad i made the decision to go. My classes are easy and my scheduling with them work out great!

After graduation pierpont has programs to help you bridge over to the fairmont campus to finish your degree. From what I hear it works very well. I am excited to see in a couple years how it works.

A lot of times the network at school is slow, but other times it works very well.

All of the leaders are super nice and helpful all the time. They keep everyone updated on upcoming events, make sure we have everything we need, and will talk to us to help our grades if they are dropping. It's like a big family.

Each of my classes begin at 4:00pm Monday through Thursday. It is very nice and convenient and working my daily schedule around my class schedule is a breeze. My classes are also around the level I am at, which makes homework easier to be completed. My instructors also are very understanding are there to help me learn, not just to make a living.

I am a commuter so I am only around a select few students. Most of the students I am around are older than I am and have full time jobs along with children. When there is communication between the others and I, it could be about the class homework or just making small conversation before class. We all are there to better ourselves and focusing on class is more important that goofing off.

I love that I can work around my work and my babies. Online classes maybe hard to get into but regular class they always different time and different days for the same classes so I can work it around my every day life.

I really enjoy online course busy I have 21 with a part time job and a mother of two. The teachers try to make you still get that interaction with your class mate the best they can with it being an online class. The traditional class room still is better for your science and communication classes.

The campus is really beautiful! The library is wonderful. There are always computers available, and they are all networked to a huge high capacity printer. The staff there are some of the sweetest people on campus. They provide the students with drinks, cookies, crackers and fruit every semester during finals weeks!! The student center, called the Falcon Center, is fantastic! We have a full cafeteria, convenience store, ice cream shop, book store, fast food, indoor walking/running tracks, basketball courts, a huge weight and fitness area, indoor pool. It's amazing!!

It seems like there is always something going on on campus! Whether its a concert, a guest speaker, a play, talent contest, pet wash, donation collection. The social opportunities are endless. Our campus has been getting additions and renovations over the last few years and they are continuing. The administration not only wants to make the campus more attractive, but to add to student life and conveniences as well as our opportunities to learn.

I personally have never had any trouble with the IT. I think at the beginning of this semester there were some issues for everyone concerning the network, but that was because they had updated systems and servers over the Summer and were working out the bugs. Everyone in the IT Department was very diligent in getting things up and running in an efficient manner. They were great.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
