I received financial aid, but the process took way to long and was way to complicated. My aid didn't make it into my account until a week after classes have already started and I had to keep going back to the office and express how I wont have any tuition money until my aid is in my account. And the financial aid workers would tell you the information you would need but when you would give it to them they would say that you are missing something. So the process was long and frustrating but when the money did come in everything was smooth sailing.

There's a decent amount of financial aid, especially considering how cheap the college is. Scholarships and awards for $1000 cover a pretty good chunk of schooling here.

I find the process to be dysfunctional for students who are coming into school with no financial help from their parents. FASFA is designed for the parents information and is the sole key to gaining financial aid, but this does not work if the students is on their own, because according to FASFA their parents make too much money so the school cuts the cost they give to students to pay for school tuition/books, housing, food, etc. There are many students who struggle with this system and financial aid just tell them sorry there is nothing we can do.

I've always had my mom do all the financial stuff, but every other yr they've done a "random audit" on mine which is extremely frustrating and takes a lot more time.
