There might be profit in "I love Pitzer" paraphernalia. Pitzer students almost unanimously "love Pitzer." Responses from students without that statement were hard to find. Like any institution, Pitzer also has problems. Students have complained about cost and unnecessary political activism.
On the other hand, students have enjoyed the five campus set up, the science department (JSD), the political activism, the social responsibility, the study abroad opportunities, the friendships, the professors, the women's center, and just about everything else. Strangely, political activism is both liked and disliked; maybe it's the nature of the topic.
When it comes down to it, the only largely excepted complaint is cost, which is understandable for one of the most expensive colleges in the nation. Yet Pitzer offers relatively good financial aid and work-study programs. For those that have to pay, it is a matter of how you use Pitzer. Pitzer can be a unique and exceptionally rewarding experience, or just the same as any other college education. If you take advantage
of all the opportunities Pitzer offers, you honestly can't put
a price on it.
