In this new, technologically advanced society, students at Pitzer almost unanimously agree that it is necessary to bring a computer to school for either schoolwork or your own entertainment. Pitzer, as well as the rest of the Claremont Colleges, has a wireless network that is accessible to all students. Some students do face a little difficulty with the Wi-Fi in their dorms, but the school provides Ethernet cords for instances such as these.
The Bernard Hall Computer Lab is the main computer lab on campus. It is open 24/7, and students are able to print for a small fee. The computer lab is not often filled to capacity, except of course when it comes to midterms or finals. If the lab does happen to fill, there are three other labs to choose from. Residential Networking, or Resnet, is a crucial part of Pitzer's Information Technology department that takes care of all computer-related needs for members of Pitzer College. The staff is very helpful and can often surprise you with its knowledge of how to fix what seemed to be an impossible problem!
