Pitzer College can rightfully pride itself in being a diverse institution in areas of race, religion, sexual orientation, and more. Students agree that the campus is a very accepting place, regardless of what column you fall under or which political wing you identify with. That being said, however, diversity in the socioeconomic category is limited, as the majority of students comes from a middle- to upper-class background. Even so, you won't find any superiority complexes at Pitzer.

Pitzer, as well as the other Claremont Colleges, has numerous organizations for various races, religions, and political affiliations. For this reason, it is difficult to feel as though you don't belong. There are also endless opportunities to branch out to other cultures, whether it be by attending the International Festival (a day devoted to honoring the food and cultures of other countries) or by simply joining a discussion group hosted by members of another culture. Whatever you do, you are sure to be accepted if you come to the College.
