Pitzer College - Guys & GirlsCollege Prowler3.46
College Prowler Take
There is much debate about this issue and no real consensus. Some think people appear hotter with what’s called “Pitzer Magic” (this is equivalent to Close Quarters Syndrome concocted with a touch of good personality). Others think that people here are par, still others believe that Pitzer students are pretty hot, while others are torn between the two sides. Despite all the debate, there is some consensus; what Pitzer students lack in looks they compensate for with personality. Pitzer students are unique and interesting, they might not be models, but you can find a good match if you look. The dating scene is good, if you take the time to patiently search for your type. There is a significantly greater female population on the Pitzer college campus. Girls sometimes complain about this, but with all five campuses, there is still a significant pool of single guys seeking out a date. For guys, Pitzer offers a few advantages; not only is there a disproportionate number of female students, there is an all girls school (Scripps) about 20 paces from campus. The dating scene is above average, and with such a diverse campus, you are bound to meet someone who can spice up your personal life. People don’t come to these schools for the beautiful people; they come for the education. However, there are more than enough types of people to keep anyone interested.

Smart and Sexy?
B+
Girls outnumber guys by a lot at Pitzer and all of the girls are really attractive and smart. Both sexes tend to be really active and interesting. Pitzer students are really engaged in the community and friendly so it isn't hard to find people that have similar interests as long as you put yourself out there a little bit.

A Mixed Bag
A-
At Pitzer there's a very diverse makeup of its population. There's a wide range of guys from athletes to simpletons all the way to hippies. The same can be said about the females at this school. Every type of social group and interest is accepted here and no matter what your makeup you can find people to relate to.

Guys are limited
B
There are far fewer guys than girls at Pitzer. and the selection can be limiting. Luckily we have the rest of the Claremont colleges to pick from.

There Are Definitely Attractive Guys and Girls, and Also Some No So Attractive Ones
B
It's usually easy to find attractive people on campus. Overall the girls are probably a little better looking than the guys, but at the same time the guys who attend Pitzer are very intelligent and dedicated students which is attractive in itself. Claremont McKenna is known for having the "hot" guys, but Pitzer and Scripps are definitely known for having the best looking girls in the Claremont Consortium.

"Hippies With Beamers"
A
Pitzer is slowly transitioning from a hippie to a hipster school. We're super creative, artsy, musical, and thrifty. Not so much athletic, although there is a small subgroup that loves the gym. Most people have a hipster look, with skinny jeans and Converse.

FactsBirth Control Available?
Yes - Various forms available through Baxter Medical Center. Latex condoms and dental dams are available free of charge through Health Education Outreach (HEO).
Social Scene
Social interaction is casual and relaxed. In a campus that has around 900 students, you become comfortable around everyone. Study groups are a good place to meet people with similar academic interests, and Mead parties are good (in the biblical sense). There are no real barriers between students with different academic interests, but sometimes, science students form semi-isolated social groups. These form as a matter of convenience not of intentional segregation.
Hookups or Relationships?
Like everything else, this runs the full gamut, from married students to those who don't stay in relationships for more than a night. The singles scene is good. For those who look hard enough, there's usually a good match within the Five Colleges. Casual relationships are frequent for those who seek them.

People dress how they feel comfortable. Some dress up and some roll out of bed unkempt trotting to class in pajamas.
