Facts

Interviews & Information Sessions

Admissions counselors and fellows conduct interviews for prospective students Monday through Friday beginning in May of the students' junior year and lasting until mid-December. The College also offers interviews on Saturday mornings by appointment beginning in the fall until mid-December. For students applying Early Decision, an interview is required and should be completed by December 1. For students applying Regular Decision, an interview is recommended, but not required, and should be completed before December 15. In addition, students may submit a personal video using MYCOLLEGEi, a user-friendly platform. This is particularly useful for international and domestic students and can give admissions counselors a chance to get to know you better. Call (909) 621-8129 for more information.

Campus Tours

Getting a tour of Pitzer is a great way to really see and learn about the campus. The tours are given Monday through Friday at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. year-round, and on Saturdays (mid-September through mid-December) at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. They usually last about an hour.

Overnight Visits

Overnight visits at Pitzer can be scheduled Monday through Thursday, from late September until the last week of April, and must be scheduled at least 14 days in advance. Tours are not available during holidays, breaks, or final exams. With a two-day notice, admitted students may schedule an overnight visit at any time during the normal schedule. Students who do an overnight visit are able to sit in on a class, speak with a professor or coach, eat in the dining hall with current students, attend an evening activity, meet with a financial aid counselor, have a campus tour and admission interview, and stay the night with a host student. An overnight visit is a great way to experience what Pitzer is really like, and is greatly recommended for prospective students. It gives a more in-depth view into the lives of Pitzer students and allows you to decide if the school is the right fit for you.

Did You Know?
  • Pitzer has two "Preview Pitzer" days in the fall and two "Admitted Student" days in the spring. This is a great way to meet other prospective students.
  • Make sure you check out the surrounding area. You'll be living here for four years, so make sure you like the entire package. Eat in the dining hall. The admissions office will give you a free pass.
  • Only current high school seniors can spend the night; make sure to make a reservation early. Spots do fill up both for overnights and interviews.
  • Pitzer does keep record of whether you visited campus or not. If you can, go to more than one tour. Every student has a different perspective.
