How are the services for learning differences students?
Regarding a student with ADHD and extended time.
PSU offers lots of extra help; The Writing Center, tutors, and every professor offers as much time as you need to take tests, or to move to a distraction-free environment.
It is pretty good there is a special program called frost that deals with these types of students.
Teachers are very responsive to students that require extended time. They will always allow a student the time that they need. PSU also has a writing center, and PASS office which will help you with any problems you may have.
There are plenty of services for those with learning differences or even students who do not quite understand a subject. We have plenty of tutoring services and a program called TRIO scholars that helps kids focus and stay on track.
In my classes this past semester there were several students that had adjusted learning plans to meet their needs. Professors were tolerant and helpful as far as I could tell.
As far as I know the school is very helpful and people are their to help. We have a small school so the staff is very avalible for students.
There is something called the PASS office where you can create your own specialized plan if you need additional help, it is help run by other students as well.
