Parking at Pomona is easy, as long as you're willing to make some concessions. Generally, the student lots are full—always full. Who drives all those cars? How did they get their spots when no one can ever find a spot? These questions may remain forever unanswered. Fortunately, there is plenty of parking on campus if you're willing to give up on the prime spots. There is street parking all over campus, and there is always a spot somewhere, but it might be quite a walk from your destination (but really, on a six-by-five-block campus, how bad can it be?). Parking has been improving as of late, especially with the South Campus Parking Structure that opened in 2011.
Parking in the Village is a bad idea, as there are some very bizarre rules governing when it is OK and when it is not, and you will almost surely get a ticket, if you are lucky. If you're not lucky, your car will get towed, and by the time you get it to retrieve it, it very well might be stripped of all resellable parts. Campus Safety is pretty uptight about handing out tickets to parking violators, but you can't really blame them when there is plenty of parking available that people are too lazy to use. Some people swear that if you just don't register your car with Campus Security then they can give you as many parking tickets as they like, and you can just keep tearing them up. The only problem with this is that they will eventually call the police, and then your car will likely be towed, stripped, or worse. Still, some people seem able to get away with it. It's your neck.
