Unlike universities with sometimes 100 students in a class, PCC is conducive for intimate learning, with small class sizes that allow for good one-on-one instruction. Even though PCC enrolls some 83,000 students, the campuses are spread out so that there isn't too much crowding on one particular campus. Even then, though, parking can still be a problem, as it's the no. 1 thing students list among their complaints about the school.

In terms of students, you will find people from every walk of life at PCC, as the College draws students from all over. However, one drawback to students with the main goal of furthering their education is that it can be hard to make friends sometimes. Nevertheless, PCC students are still very friendly and welcoming; it's just that being a community college makes it so people come to class and then go home. PCC staff is very friendly, as well. Sometimes, you may see your instructor as not just someone teaching you, but someone you can go to as a mentor and friend. Instructors are usually very interested in the general success of their students.
