The Dining for PSU is very broad, we get a lot of options, but they are all very similar. You have many fastfood places near by along with small restaurants. I like it.

Rains All the Time. About the only time when campus is tolerable is during the summer months, when nobody goes to school anyways. Although most do not, I do, and it is my most enjoyable part of the school year. Otherwise, you spend so much time walking between classes and being soaked by the time you get there.

Lots O' Spots, but Fill up Fast. There are plenty of parking spots around the streets on campus, as well as a garage that allows permit or hourly parking. The spots fill up very fast early in the week which can make it hard to find quick parking.

Capus Security Probably Has Bigger Problems Than Whatever You're Doing – It's really not hard to get away with things in the dorms. The freshmen dorms (Ondine/Broadway) are a little more strict than the others because there is at least 1 RA/LCA on every floor. But as long as you're not disturbing other people or running through the hallway with your illegal substance they're not going to care. If you do get in trouble, what generally happens is you pay a small fine and make a couple posters to hang up in the building.

How Much Do You Want to Spend? Start by asking how much do you want to spend. One can live across the river and take the max, which is free for students or have reduces prices

Urban Campus – Portland State is located in the park blocks of downtown Portland which provides a vibrant and unique college experience. Students can walk to museums, theaters, shopping, popular food carts, restaurants, and bars, all part of the downtown environment. It's great to have so many options!

Parking at Portland State is very expensive and necessary for much of the commuting population. It typically costs between $400-$500 per term to park in the campus lots and street parking is no better. Many students commute via bike, bus, or train to avoid high parking costs. If you get a ticket, the fines are very expensive($43). However, the availability of lots and parking garages is very good.

First Appearances – The buildings are definitely a lot nicer looking than they were 10 years ago. Compared to 10 years ago, Portland State has improved its facilities dramatically. Heating is very good too. Restrooms are very well kept and have new equipment in them.

Getting Harder – The process of getting into Business is pretty easy, but does have some academic requirements that don't fit with a business major.

There is really no need for a car in Portland, public transportation can get you anywhere you need to go. If you have a car the parking around school is expensive!

I take a bus, a Max, or a street car. Also, I walk.
I like to use the trasnportation system because I can save my gas money and parking fee. However, the flex-pass fee is getting higher. I hope the coast to become lower.

God Back to Traditional Food! I used to pack my lunch every day because I do not want to buy fast food or non-organic food, especially meat. Also, I do not like most the off-campus dining options near my school. Sometimes, I buy lunch at cafe near my school, but it is expensive, or food is not enough to me. When I find the organic restaurant, it is very expensive even lunch menu.

Dorms Are VERY Nice. Portland States' atmosphere allows for the social-type to interact and become part of the campus life, yet, it also allows the more reserved students to keep their distance.
Campus dorms are affordable and REEEEAAALLY nice. They are currently building new dorms (again) that come with 46 inch TV's in every room and is also equipped with a movie/game room. They will be ready before September 2012 and you can register for them NOW.
Most dorms also come with Kitchenettes!
