I do feel that my instructors honestly care about their students. They have gone above and beyond to help with unexpected fees, individual issues students have, and they are always available to us at anytime.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Pratt CC only allows $1750.00 per semester in financial aid. This amount goes very fast when you are driving 100 miles round-trip to school everyday, plus the constant additional fees that we have had to come up with at the last minute, mid semester.
The tuition is what I believe to be fair, until again, you add in all the additional fees that are not in the tuition.

I have not heard much in regards to my schools post-grad services.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid process is stressful. I was not always able to get the loans I needed. I had to quit my job because of my classes and clinicals and they put a limit on how much in loans I could receive. One semester I was refused loans. I thought these were available to help with my living expenses throughout college. Obviously I was wrong with this college.

I have been stressed out with the way the financial aid department functions. Also, I didn't always have the class schedule in enough time to reschedule work. Basically, I had to schedule my life around school.

Not Done – I can't rate PCC on this because I have not graduated yet.

I like the fact that my classes are partially online. However, we do have a lot of personal interaction with the instructors. Nursing school is very demanding and it is nice that we have a little flexibility. I will be with the same group of classmates until I graduate which is absolutely wonderful. We have built a relationship on supporting one another. PCC is giving us all a chance to better our lives. I am happy I have been given this chance. I am making the best of my college experience.

Nursing Is Separate – Nursing has its own building and we rarely interact with other students at pcc.

Skill Lab – The skills lab is actually very nice. Lots of interactive dummys that put us in real situations and give us the ability to learn.

The school does not provide any handouts for us...no printing off papers. We must print out everything or use our own computers to take notes that are uploaded. The school library has poor hours..open like 6 hours a day and most of them is while we are in school lecture or skills lab. Any copies cost .10 cents a page. In nursing we print a lot of information and this adds up.

Communication Issues – There seems to be some overturn in faculty at pcc. It seems like they are scrambling to have someone available to teach classes and clinicals. We have had 3 directors of nursing in 6 months. Communication is making it hard to stay on top of everything, as nursing requires hard work.

Not Much Experience – I haven't had much experience with online class, but I was impressed with the system. I had problems with the network kicking me off in the middle of the test, but the instructor was willing to work with me and let me retake the tests, which was very nice and helpful.

Most Athletic – Most the student body are athletic. There are very few academic scholarships. There are many different ethnic groups represented and they are respected.

Great Computer Labs – The computer labs are great. Very rarely will something go wrong with the network. Cheap printing makes it easy for students to hand in school work and having the computers labs accessible during the day make it easy to print and save work.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Paying for Their Mistakes – The plus side to going to a community college is the low tuition rate and fees. I was fortunate enough to get a scholarship, however the financial aid department made a mistake in applying my scholarship twice to the same semester. Now I have to pay for their mistake. I wish they had checked their systems to make sure everything is correct before sending out financial aid. However, they are willing to make payment plans.

Classic Campus – The campus is small, but very unique with it's multiple octagon design and Beaver Dome. Besides it's architectural aspects, there are not a lot of outstanding unique things.

Comfortable With Slight Disadvantages – Pratt Community College's resource centers are readily available during the day. Unfortunately, the library's hours can be inconvenient for the busy college student. The computers are housed in the library, so it makes it difficult to get work done. The gym is very nice as well as the auditorium. It would be nice to have more places to congregate, but as for the two places that are available, they are very comfortable and relaxing to be in. Overall, the campus is comfortable and small, with slight disadvantages.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial Aid helps a lot and the tuition are really low. The school provides the students scholarships that helps them to pay for their tuition.

I Hear They Are Good – I've never taken an online course but I've heard they are amazingly good

The student body is very diverse we have students form all over the country but probably the best is the international students. Some are from Africa, Europe, South America and even Australia so you really see what goes on in other cultures and prepares you for when you go into the real world and meet different people.
College Senior 2012-04-19T03:55:32Z
The small class sizes really do it for me. The fact that an instructor can focus on a specific student is amazing plus due to the small class size, students can interact freely and help each other out.

A typical student may have one or two jobs to have money to buy things with. The body diversity is great! there are no issuses on race. The student body may not be here making friends or playing around. They're here to get their education and move on with their life.

Difference Between Online and Classroom Experience – I never took Online Classes, but I heard it wasn't all that bad. Taking online classes, you can turn in your work without listening to your professor repeat his/her mouth. The workload may not be as much extra work than classroom's work be. Having online classes, you have to make sure you still are focused with what's going on rather than procrastinating when your going to turn in your work.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
