From the students I've talked to and met, it seems to range from all ethnicities and backgrounds, even international.

The school is mostly white upper middle class privileged kids. For Arizona, it's fairly diverse and pretty tolerant/accepting of people from different backgrounds/lifestyles.

Prescott College is not very diverse and the city of Prescott is not very diverse. Despite that, the school is very open to diversity and there is very high tolerance for people from any race, ethnicity or background. The school population works frequently with people from communities all around the country and the world and handles diversity issues on campus very very well.

This question usually implies diversity of race, but I see Prescott College as being incredibly diverse in other areas. In terms of race, it's true that Prescott College is about 80% "white" (although our students would love to challenge your perception of "race" and "whiteness"). It is an extremely accepting school when it comes to diversity of any kind, including race/ethnicity, economic background, political beliefs, religion, and sexual orientation. We have a very strong LGBTQ community on campus, and have designated gender-neutral bathrooms (we have come out strongly against the state of Arizona's recent stance on gender in bathrooms). Overall, our student body is extremely accepting of all diversity.

People come from varied backgrounds at PC, however the college is very passionate about creating a diverse community. It's a very unique college so the students are all interested in multiple topics and will receive different interests from other students with open minds.
