NYC Is Only an Hour Away – NYC is only an hour away and you also have the local town which has plenty of cool coffee shops, tea shops, stores, and parks.

Every Class Imaginable – Every major and class is offered with versatile instruction as well as incredible professor. The classes range from 12 person seminars to 300 person lectures but in all cases you are able to feel close with preceptors, TAs and/or professors.

You Don't Need a Car – Who drives in college? You don't need a car in most places in the north east so get your walking shoes or jump on a train and save your cash.

School Spirit but We Don't Win – We have alot of school spirit but we don't always win. Overall our athletes are students before they are athletes so we car emore about their academic performance. It would be great if we could have a fire, though, before I graduate but only if we beat Harvard and Yale in the same season.

Health & Safety:
Totally Protected – You could not be more safe at Princeton. Most people don't even lock their dorm rooms. Theft is rare (other than coats at a party). There are campus police, and town police (who have nothing better to do than hang out around campus) and blue lights if there's ever a problem. As a young female student I don't feel unsafe walking back alone at night.

Old but Quality – The dorms at Princeton, most of them at least, have been around since the beginning of the nation but the amenities are superb. There are a lot of private bathrooms on campus and even shared/hall bathrooms don't generally accommodate more than 6-8 people. Rooms range from carpets to hardwood but the size of the rooms is overall quite large. The only issue is that some of the older dorms have bugs but the older dorms also provide a great social experience.

Safe and Sound – Princeton, NJ might not be the most exciting place on Earth but it is a cute town with lots of shops, restaurants, stores and a picturesque movie theater. The town is remarkably safe, you never have to worry about walking alone at night. The best part is that there is a train station right on campus. Princeton is 1hr on train from New York City and Philadelphia. Plenty of students spend their weekends in these cities to spice up their social life.

Relatively Easy – It was a hard choice, but the Administration was very supportive and hosted many talks. I went to dinner with my advisor, a Professor, to talk about it further.

Guys & Girls:
Good Looking Campus – People care about their looks here. Most workout and go to the gym regularly.

Health & Safety:
McCosh and the Administration do a phenomenal job in putting safety (both personal and criminal) first. There are no crimes, at all. I have always felt safe.

A Plethora of Opportunities – Princeton has an incredibly loyal alumni base. To get all my internships, I relied upon it. It is called TigerTracks.

Everything Is Here – Historically, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton lacked diversity. Princeton has tried to change that in a fundamental and profound manner. There is an incredible amount of diversity (all types, from racial to political) here.
College Junior 2012-05-30T04:18:24Z
Safety Comes First – Not many kids use drugs. There is one eating club, Terrace, however, where it is more prevalent.
College Junior 2012-05-30T04:15:55Z
Understanding Administration – The Administration cares most about student safety. McCosh has entire amnesty programs for the few who drink excessively and seek medical treatment.

The town of Princeton is cute. With so much happening on campus, I rarely go, though. Princeton is 45 minutes from NYC and Philly; last semester, I went to NYC 6 times with friends, trips financial aid covered.
College Junior 2012-05-30T04:13:16Z
Paying for Everything – I am paying nothing for my four years at Princeton. Absolutely nothing. Tuition AND room and board were covered. Princeton has the largest endowment per student of any University in the world and this manifests itself as a substantial advantage in terms of financial aid. It was very easy to get the aid too. I could not be more pleased.

Princeton spends so much money on its housing. Whitman College, for example, has enormous rooms and air conditioning in each one. People complain about the housing, but they do not seem to recognize how incredible they are relative to other colleges.
College Junior 2012-05-30T04:09:21Z
Stanford of the Ivies – Princeton does very well in sports. Whenever we beat Harvard and Yale in football for a season, we have a huge bonfire. Basketball is becoming bigger on campus. Generally, we are very competitive in the Ivy League and lots of kids attend games against Harvard and Yale.
College Junior 2012-05-30T04:06:50Z
Everybody Is Studying – Nightlife is there, if you want it. Students at Princeton are very studious and many do not participate. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, nightlife is almost nonexistent. Friday is date night; most of my friends and I usually spend our Fridays study. About 70% of the kids study on Thursday nights, but 30% do party. Finally, nightlife is pretty constricted to Saturday nights on the Street (where the eating clubs are), but a lot of kids avoid it.

It's Okay. I am not really involved in the athletics at Princeton. However, we have dedicated teams and coaches and the university is also very spirited and supported of groups, from football to the squash team.

Health & Safety:
Really Safe. Princeton University is a really safe environment-- I never feel endangered walking through campus at night. Public safety is everywhere, and if you need help medically, the Health Center is always open.
College Junior 2012-05-21T04:59:33Z
It Could Be Better. I think that the university has a lot to offer with a very diverse assortment of things to take part in. However, it would be nice for there to be more information about these facilities-- more media.

There are so many locations to work on a computer if you don't have one, and they are very up-to-date. If you want a mac or PC, it's available, and there is also free printing. It is definitely convenient.

Guys & Girls:
I love the whole scene at Princeton, probably because of the diversity of the student body. You have people from around the world, rich and poor, all beautiful in their own way. I cannot judge someone on their looks alone, and everyone here has something that makes them unique and attractive.
College Junior 2012-05-09T17:51:42Z
There is a lot of drinking that goes on at various times at Princeton. I would not say that peer pressure has anything to do with it, since there are quite a few students who elect to live substance free and no one thinks any less of them for doing so. Aside from some marijuana use, drugs are pretty much nonexistant. The majority of students here are involved and sports and, as such, have no interest in drug usage. The university doesn't strictly condone the use of alcohol, but they don't do much to prohibit it either. They also have policies in place to deal with students who need medical attention due to overindulgence.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
