College Prowler Take
Like almost any other university, there are drugs present on Princeton’s campus. The drug scene on Princeton’s campus is not very visible, but it is present. With the strong presence of eating clubs as the main dining and social option for students, alcohol is the source of the majority of strain in the relationship between administrators and students. Each weekend, a number of students have to visit McCosh Health Center, or “get McCosh-ed,” for alcohol-related issues. Other than alcohol, marijuana is the most prevalent drug on campus. Increasingly, a small minority of Princeton students have started to use drugs other than alcohol and marijuana. A recent article in the Daily Princetonian reported an increasing presence of drugs such as cocaine and Adderrall on campus. Because of the academic pressures, some students opt to use prescription drugs, such as Ritalin, to stay awake to do work. Most students at Princeton do not use drugs, and it is by no means a widespread problem.

The drug scene isn't that noticeable. A lot of kids drink, but unless you want to do drugs, you're not going to run into them.

The hard drug scene is definitely not big, but venture to the third floor of Ivy or Terrace and you can find it. Pot is everywhere, most people are just discreet about it if they aren't at Terrace.

As far as I can tell, it’s pretty small. There’s a fairly large drinking scene, but as far as drugs go, I’d say it’s only among a group of people. |

I’d say there’s not really a drug scene. I mean, I would think that there would be some, like at any place you go, but I have never heard of any bad things in Princeton. I think I heard of something only once and it had to do with pot. All the drug scenes are in the big cities like Philly, New York, Trenton, and so on. |
