Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

By far, the most widely used drug at PC is alcohol. Binge drinking is a normal occurrence, and one which every student cannot help but observe. The real drug scene is much more inconspicuous. While marijuana is the drug of choice, there are whispers about ecstasy, mushrooms, and a small coke scene. Drugs can be acquired at PC, like most colleges, but the scene is not so prevalent that it cannot be avoided or even go undetected at all.

The low-key use of drugs makes PC a comfortable atmosphere for the students who don’t use, while users should be satisfied. The drug scene could be far worse than it is, but drinking, not drugs, is really what PC is about.

The Hidden Scene

While alcohol use is very obvious at PC the drug scene is a sneaky one. As far as weed, it is very easy to obtain and students will have no trouble getting access if wanted. I thought this was where the drug scene came to an end. However, after getting to know more and more people on campus, I've also come to realize that behind closed doors there are far more drugs here than I originally thought. This being said, this school is in no way a "druggie school." For the people who do do them it is strictly a social activity. There is no pressure to do drugs whatsoever, and if caught there are very serious punishments.

Drug Use Not a Problem

It's college, if someone wants to do drugs then they will find them, but they are by no means popular with students at pc. drinking on the other hand..... that's a different story. RA's a are typically not that strict and always want to help you out, unless you do something really stupid, in which case you probably deserve to get in trouble anyways.
