Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The police at Purdue are quite strict and won’t hesitate to crack down on underage drinking, drugs, and illegal parking. However, it seems that if you’re smart about what you’re doing and don’t make a messy fool out of yourself, you should be able to steer clear of any unwanted run-ins with the cops. Be careful what you do during Grand Prix week, as the cops are extra observant at this time, and taking the time to be a little more cautious about your conduct is worlds better than getting slapped with a hefty fine for public intoxication.

Although students might gripe about the seemingly overwhelming presence of the Purdue Police, you do have to admit, they’re just doing their jobs. The police aren’t kidding around, either. When it comes to underage drinking, it's two strikes and you’re out, and there is absolutely no tolerance when it comes to drugs. But if you exercise some caution, you should be able to avoid any ugly incidents.

LETS PARTY BUT BE SAFE

Long as your safe, nto fallen over drunk and having fun, that is all that matters. Also as for Academics, Engineering and Pharmacy are the hardest programs. Oh yeahh, you will work your but off and must maintain certain grades. Liberal arts you are good and jsut need to pass the classes. Social life is all what you make of it, but there is no Hard liquor rules for Frats, and no alcohol or drugs in dorm/sororities you can get fined or kicked out so be careful

Not So Much

Purdue I feel like isn't strict at all. You pretty much do what you want. Everyone is allowed to speak their opinions and its your decision whether to go to class or not.

Everyone Is Willing to Help

Students are held to a high academic standard. I know in my specific program, we have to maintain a certain GPA as well as represent our school properly in the way we behave. Warnings are given, but the staff are definately willing to help and find you tutors if you just show an interest and ask. Never be afraid to ask for help!
