Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

All hail to the old gold and black! Students could not have been more glowing in their praise about their time at Purdue University. Boilermakers unanimously appreciate all the opportunities that are afforded to students at a Big Ten university. From the thriving social scene to the academics, to the prestige of a Purdue diploma to the lifelong friends, Purdue students are grateful for their time in the heartland of the Midwest, and none could dream of having attended school anywhere else. As with anything in life, there are positives and negatives to any situation, but it appears that the benefits of being a Boilermaker greatly outweigh everything else.

The sheer size of Purdue may intimidate those students who feel that they will never be more than a number at Purdue, but as students have pointed out, there’s a niche here for everyone. If the chance to be top dog is what you desire from a college, you won’t find that here. But if you’re looking for a world-class education, the chance to meet people from all different walks of life, and hundreds of ways to become involved in University life, Purdue is the school for you. It is fun and exciting. It’s an opportunity to spend four (or more) meaningful years with 30,000 other people your age. And if you’re willing to accept all the opportunities a Big Ten university can throw your way, it will be a great ride.

I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. I know it sounds cheesy, but I’ve had the best three years of my life here, and I am really going to miss this place when I graduate. I’ve met so many people, and I’ve had so many great opportunities. I wouldn’t trade my experiences here for anything.

Overall, I thought that attending Purdue was the best experience of my life. I discovered a lot about myself and about others. The one thing that sums it up is this: everyone knows Purdue. It is a great school with a wonderful reputation, and it really helped me get a job right out of college. It’s a school and a name to be proud of.

Not only did I have the time of my life socially and meet a ton of great friends, whom I know that I will keep in touch with for the rest of my life, I also received a college degree from a prestigious university.
