There is always lots to do in Charlotte. With an amusement park, four malls, and uptown Charlotte in a thirty minute radius, the students always have something to do. Uptown hosts several festivals and events each month for all types of people. It really is a melting pot of cultures. The people of this city love college students, especially Queens, and offers special deals and promotions for us. As for sports, professionally, Charlotte has a basketball, lacrosse, and hockey team; however, more is to come.

Queens's student life always has something going on. There are intramural sport competitions every month. Countless clubs have frequent meetings and events engaging the students in the Charlotte community. A new gymnasium was recently constructed with a state-of-the-art gym, two olympic-sized pools, a fitness area and much more. Even though there are lots of lawn space to do homework on or hang out with friends, my favorite space on campus is the new science building. With Platinum "Green" Ratings, it stands out as the most eco-efficent building in the south. It is a great asset for our school and the community.

Parking has gotten better since the new parking garage has been added. I like how you do not have to pay for parking separately it is added in your tuition.

It's pretty easy to find a spot and the cost for a permit isn't that high. The parking deck is very close to classes and dorms. The only costly thing is tickets where freshmen seem to get the most of.

Usually the library and computer labs are not so crowded that you can't get to one within 5 minutes. The most crowded times are during exams at the end of the semester and even then they're pretty available. The internet could be faster.
