Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The school provides students with exceptional academics, real world experiences, lifelong relationships, a sense of independence, and a stronger sense of identity. Initially, though, there is an adjustment period when arriving to campus. There is a certain type of student that goes to Quinnipiac, one that has money and wears nice clothes, but if you take some time and explore other avenues, there are so many other people and things beneath the "surface" stuff. The orientation teams at Quinnipiac are made up of nurturing, fun upperclassmen who make the new students feel at home.

The faculty also does a great job of getting to know students on a personal level. From the professors to the people working in financial aid, everyone seems to want to get to know the students and help them in some way. There are also so many organizations and clubs you can join to meet people who have the same interests or career paths as you. The location of the school is another key factor for many students. The campus is so aesthetically pleasing that it puts you in the study/college/independent mode. Its close proximity to New York City and Boston make it a great place to be if you want to take a weekend trip with your college friends. The location also provides students with the option to intern right in New York City.

Great Athletic Training Program

The AT program is a total of 4 undergraduate years -- you will earn a Bachelor's of science degree. The curriculum can definitely be overwhelming, but you learn A LOT. The professors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and will do everything in their power to help you succeed. As a program as a whole, the pass rate for the BOC (certification test) is nearly 100% every year. I already love and am anticipating this field, only having finished my second year in the program. You begin clinical hours starting your sophomore year and therefore get a good grasp on what to expect in the field, and whether or not you want to continue to pursue the degree.

Guys

The majority of the guys at this school (the 25% of the student population) are mostly white/ Caucasian and rarely ever do you see them seek interest of a girl of color. Those minority males that do exists are usually on sports team and are busy doing everyone. Minority girls on this campus are screwed in terms of finding one on this campus.

Parking at Quinnipiac University

Okay Parking

Students at Quinnipiac are SO SPOILED and complain about parking all the time. When they should be thankful that Quinnipiac and Quinnipiac Security is actually helping these students get accustomed to the real world. There are several parking options on both residential campuses, some more convenient than others. All parking is on a first come, first serve basis. So if you snooze you loose! With the campus not being meant to hold so many students, an off campus parking lot does exist. Students might hate the option and the limited of time the shuttle buses take to bring you there but HEY atleast the option is there!
