Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Radford doesn't offer a wide variety where food is concerned, with most of the available options leaning toward fast food. Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s, and Sbarro are the greasiest spots to eat on campus, although they all do offer salads. Salsarita's is popular, but the lines are incredibly long, so it is not convenient for students on the go. You can get sushi in The Bonnie, which is a nice healthy option, and the ABP Kiosk and Starbucks offer light snacks, such as muffins and cookies, as well as beverages. Au Bon Pain offers pricey soups, sandwiches, and salads, as well as pastries and beverages. The dining halls are a different story. Dalton Hall offers a variety of options every night: soups, sandwiches, a salad bar, a pasta and pizza bar, a healthy menu option, and daily specials. However, the quality of the taste at Dalton is widely disputed among students. Many prefer Muse Hall, even though it is not very conveniently located for many at the University and it is not open on the weekends, which severely limits students on a 15- or 19-meal plan.

Overall, the dining options at Radford are varied, but the schedules aren't the most convenient. The Terrace Shops in Dalton Hall are only open Monday through Friday until 8 p.m. Dalton is open on weekends, but closes by 7:15 p.m. daily. The time constraints severely limit student choices and are often complained about.

Radford's Dining

Quite exclusive for those of us who have "special diets" (i.e vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.). While there are a some healthy options here, it's very limited. There however is a salad bar, Wild Greens, and ABP, Au Bon Pain which is a sister-store of Panera, that have various healthy options to choose from. But it gets repetitve/boring very quickly.

Tasty Yet Limited

The major dining hall offers a variety of meals with decent quality. The terrace shops are very reliable and offer a wide array of choices. Overall, there are lots of different options as to where to eat considering the small nature of the campus.
