Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Greek life is the heart and soul of Radford University, and it is intricately involved in the lives of students, regardless of whether they are members of a Greek organization or not. Anyone can see that Greek letters seem to dominate campus. Greek life is known for throwing the best parties and having very good-looking guys and girls as members. It can also have a negative reputation for "friendly" girls, drunk and rambunctious guys, and disgusting party houses. However, Greek life isn't all about parties, and many Greek organizations arrange various philanthropic efforts, including Toys for Tots drives, annual breast cancer awareness walks, and Special Olympics fundraisers. Members of Greek life can just as easily talk about the huge party they are throwing as the fundraiser they are working on for their philanthropic cause.

Greek life is a driving force behind student decisions. Recycling efforts, school spirit, and academics have steadily been on the rise at Radford with the assistance and support of the Greek community. For these reasons, Greek life is highly respected by faculty and the Student Government Association. Students also respect Greek life for the work that is done in the local community, the campus, and for the philanthropy.

How Greek Life Affects the Social Atmosphere of Campus

The greek life definitely enhances the social atmosphere of the campus. It gives students another avenue to follow besides sports

Greek Life

hmmm greek life... its different. It is fun to wear the letters and get into the parties but that pretty much sums up Radford Greek. Many of the frats have lost their charter, the sororities are good but not as serious as bigger schools.
