I really like that the "road map" of courses is selected when you first register. It takes all the guessing out of when to take which classes. It really made the registration process very easy.

I enjoy how easy they make it for adults to come back to school. Returning to school after 15 years off is not the easiest thing, but they have made it a very smooth process. Offering complete online degrees for people with complicated schedules is great.

I absolutely love the online courses at Rasmussen. They are very easy to follow, the teachers seem to be great, and there is a decent amount of interaction amongst students and teachers. I really like the live lecture portions that appear in certain classes. It really makes it feel like you are part of an actual class and not totally on your own.

I think Rasmussen has a fantastic student body. The diversity found at Rasmussen is amazing. It seems like a majority of the students are working adults and I think it's great to see so many people returning back to school for either a new degree or to advance their current work positions.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The quality of the education is definitely worth the prize. I am currently getting Pell Grants but aside from that I also have student loans to pay for college. Once I filled out the FAFSA online, my meeting with the financial aid office was easy, they explained my tuition step by step.

The computer lab or computers overall around the campus are accessible and always functioning. There is always paper on the printer and copy machines. If a problem arises there is a tech available 24/7.

I feel like I am never alone. There are multiple mentors always available to ensure the students success. The student center, library and the campus in general is very accessible.

My school is very diverse. It varies from high school students to working adults. People of all ages are treated the same and are given the same amount of respect and the workload expectancy is also the same.

I was very nervous about taking an online course for the first time. Reading the syllabus and staying on track with deadlines is extremely necessary. But, I don't have to worry about commuting or a babysitter. I had to learn to manage my time and set aside time to actually read the lessons and do the work.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I received my Associate's Degree from here....$30,000 later AND some of my credits transferred over from another college! Waaaay too expensive. I honestly cannot name 5 things I have learned from this college. There is a lack of communication because a lot of the instructors that they get are from different countries and it is hard to understand them. When you go to the Dean for help (who is also from another country) she does not want to hear it and does not listen to any students, even though several speak to her about this problem. I have had one good instructor out of 20. The online classes are ridiculously easy. I did not even open up any books and I received 100% on every class and every paper. You pay a lot and do not learn anything at all.

The expectations are clear and the materials are presented in a standard pattern, that is to say that each class is navigated the same way. There is encouragement to interact with other students and share experiences and ideas.
College Junior 2013-02-09T05:15:01Z
Help is available to students who need resumes built. There is also a regular newsletter printed with local jobs in various fields that relate to degrees.

The Schedule is pretty flexible but some classes are not available at some times so certain classes have to wait until prerequisites are available. It can be frustrating when classes are cancelled before the quarter starts.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Now that I am receiving the aid, I have no complaints. I get emails reminding me when to renew my FAFSA and submit documents in a timely manner to continue with aid.

This school mostly contains working parents. Some of the instructors are understanding to the family lives outside of school, but then there are some who have no clue. The front desk and many other faculty members are students, so they are aware of some of the things going on. All the students are willing to help each other out, even when they don't know how to do something.

I am a Medical Assisting major and my classes are not what I expected. The classes on campus are ok, but the fact we have to take online courses is not always cool. I don't think that major courses like Math, Pathophysiology are courses that should be taken online because there are students that need the extra attention. The workload is not bad, except there is a paper due every week for online courses and some type of required online research that not all students are able to accomodate.

I have not had any experience with this yet. I will be speaking with someone in Career Services within the next two quarters.

I think my academic experience has been a good experience so far. I haven't had too many set backs. A few here and there but overall a good experience.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
