One of the greatest things about Rasmussen is the flexibility that is available to students. I personally am an online student, and live 80 miles away from campus. Whenever I need to go for tutoring/meetings, the staff and faculty is very accomodating to my schedule, and if anything ever comes up day to day, the online instructors are flexible in giving extentions as well.

The computer network is awesome - reliable, and easy to access. Students are given the privlege of printing as much as we need, for free, in the computer lab that is specifically reserved just for student use as needed.

There is a computer lab available at all times for student use, with free printing privleges. Instructors are available at students convienience to help with assignments/tutor, and the library is a great resource too! Books are grouped into the relevant majors, and the librarian is always willing to help. She also has a major passion for the APA writing style, and will help any student master it.

Not a Whole Lot – Rasmussen doesn't offer any sort of extra curricular activities so the campus is very small. It has your basic computer lab, classrooms, library, etc. I don't think it has a lunch room.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Costs a Bit High – I think that the tuition cost is high compared to the other schools in the area. I realize that they are more dedicated to making sure you secede but does it have to come at such a high cost?

Full Time Employees – Almost every student at Rasmussen is working a full time job. I take all my classes online. But even there most of my other students are working full time and going to school. I am the same way.

Great for Help – This school always has someone that is ready to help you with any problem you might have. Having some trouble in class, they can help you overcome the problem. They have many different options to get the help you need.

The career services at one time were great. We continually got notifications of jobs available in our field of study. That was true for each field however now you have to search them out and they likely are unable to help do anything besides point you in the direction of the state employment website.

There Are Few – The only facility on Campus is the school library which is small but the librarian tries to make sure there is something for every class. The librarian is great and will help with what she can. However the mentor center is never staffed by anyone, and receiving help on campus is nearly impossible.

They Don't Care About Students – I started at Rasmussen because it was convenient for me they offered online and night courses the classes were almost always full and the school had a wonderful environment. Within two years classes on campus became sparse to now non-existent. They force you to take all classes online with promises that "next quarter" online classes will be offered. There is a very high turn over rate of instructors and administration as well which usually means that no one knows you or how to do their job.

No Issues Here – The school offers a lot for networking and has very reliable sources.

My First Year – I do like that it will focus on me but the cost is exspenisive. I do enjoy that i can come and get the help i need along with friendly service it has to offer. My overall experience is I'm happy with this choice.

The student body at my college consists of all types and walks of life, from right out of high school to the older generation. Everyone is accepted, and nobody is turned down.
