Campus Resources at Regency Beauty Institute - Olathe:
I recently enrolled but my classes haven't started yet. However on the tour I received at the school they showed me the computer section and they seemed to have enough computers for the students. They have the equipment and tools necessary for students to learn and practice. Overall it seems like a good place to learn and practice what one is learning.

Tuition & Financial Aid at Regency Beauty Institute - Olathe:
I'm still in the process and until now they have been vey helpful, and patient answering my questions and explaining how everything works. The tuition cost is a little expensive for me because with the current job I have I don't get much and it's difficult to meet the monthly payments. I just wish they would give more time to pay for it.

The students at Regency Beauty Institute, from what I can tell, are professional artists with so much skill to already to style, yet the humility to actually learn the proper ways to go about things.

Academic Experience at Regency Beauty Institute:
This is the worst school EVER & I really wish I could go back and change my decision about wanting to attend this school. I have felt that my money has gone to waste and I have not learned very much at all and I will be graduating in January. Do not go to this school for services or as student. I wouldn't even recommend to go if you are offered a educator position. Since attending I have seen 3 educators be fired for reasons that did not even make sense. This has to be the most corrupted place I have ever been. Jade Jarvis, the campus manager is very far from a manager. She is a high school dropout who knows nothing about cosmetology or how to manage a buisness. Melanie Sarconi is the campus manager and I am convinced she is a racist. She only picks on people of color. Both Jade and Melanie favor students and allow these students get away with pretty much anything. If they don't like you though they make sure they can find ways to suspend or terminate you. They are only out for self and do not care for your well being as a student or as a person. Take your $20,000 as a student and go elsewhere. Clients- take your money also and go elsewhere. Most of the students that our clients recieve services from don't want to even be in school. They all sit around and do nothing. They don't ever try to go above and beyond to learn. They also use their breaktimes to go to happy hour and get drinks! Also If you want to learn how to do ethnic hair...DEFINITELY don't go here. All of the educators are caucasian and don't know how to do ethnic hair. I have even seen the floor manager turn away clients with ethnic hair. This has to be one of the worst schools in Az. trust me just don't even come in for a tour it will waste your time and there are PLENTY of other schools that you can go to and get better service!

Academic Experience at Regency Beauty Institute - El Paso:
This school is the most misleading school I have ever had the horrible experience of deal with. They say oh its hard to get into this school and I thought i accomplished something so great when I actually got accepted. Turns out ANYONE AND EVERYONE will get into this school as long as you have the money to do so. Don't waste your time folks! I felt so out of place here in El Paso, the instructors as well as the students made it a point to speak spanish when they knew I did not, I was literally the only white person in this school and they made sure that I knew it. I felt so discriminated against and wronged it was terrible. You get what you put into the program just as you would a local community college. I tell you what, I wish that I would have just gone to a cheaper school because you will get the same job placement as those people will. They make you think you will succeed and do big things if you go to that school. Its a load of crap! You get treated poorly, no matter how hard you try! I actually graduated with honors from this school and ended up making 800 dollars a month working at a spa and thats about it. I actually ended up hating my career and am currently enrolled in a psychology program now. I wish that I would have never pursued this so call dream of mine and would have held out and waited. I seriously paid 22,000 dollars to go to a school where i could have recieved the same amount of education from a 2300 dollar school, not to mention their so called job placement program!!! HA! What that is, is a little computer that pretty much says JCPenny has openings and if you dont want to apply to that, then well you are SOL! Seriously as a favor to yourself, research ALL and EVERY one of your options and see what else is out there. I would NEVER EVER in my life recommend this school to anyone who is trying to go through a cosmetology program. Think it through because at the end of the day you will see the same people who went to cheaper colleges applying for positions you are and guess what sometimes they will get the job over you. This literally means NOTHING written on a resume. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and I will be filling sites with this same opinion. Its a terrible school with maybe one or two good teachers and the rest of the staff are about worthless and will make sure ESPECIALLY if you are white to know that they just want you to graduate so the next person can come along. They could care less about your future or you as a student!

Overall Experience at Regency Beauty Institute - Baltimore:
I am a recent graduate of regency at the baltimore campus....and if money back was a option I would take it. I didnt learn to pack my bag.....the campus is understaffed and they cant keep n e one because the campus managers they have hired. In a yer of being there I went through 16 educators and 3 campus managers. I didnt learn the necessary things to take my boards. I sought out help from the campus wnd was told tocleave after corperate said that I should get help from the camous manager or someone at te school. There is favoritism, lack of structure, lack of education, and no professionalism. I was eager to start at regency and let down the whole way. They talk a mean game to get u to sign up, and make it impossible to leave when u tell them they arent upholding their end of the deal. I expected so much more!

Overall Experience at Regency Beauty Institute - Avon:
(Disclaimer: Did not attend Indianapolis campus, only option they had for Indiana) Extremely dissatisfied. Under staffed, promised small intimate classes, was crammed in classroom with about 40 students and 1 instructor. Instructors are moody and unprofessional. This school costs twice as much as any other beauty school in the area and they are twice as much of a pain! I am halfway through the program and don't feel like I've learned much at all. Instructors will force us to do services we won't get credit for. I never look forward to going and can't wait until my time is up. Don't waste your time. They preach themselves as an ethical company but when you're not an incoming student (and are dropped to bottom priority) you will see through all of the smoke and mirrors.

Like I said before this is an actual campus, there are no computers to learn how to cut hair on or shape eyebrows on. This is a human touch college, the warmth of a human hand, not the coldness of a computer and no personality.

This is an actual campus and for cosmotology I still can not figure out where a computer comes into play when it is about hair, skin and nails? This is a hands on, person to person, no computers needed. This is what I believe is lacking more and more is the human touch, everyone is turning to computers to do everything. With cosmotology, it is actualy a human touch and personal feeling of a human around you.

When I went to the College to have a tour with Kelly Mumford, I was really impressed with the setting. The 2 classrooms were set up in an easy to learn format and the open floor where everyone will be cutting, styling, coloring and many other things to hair, was very nicely set up. I really liked the layout of the open floor working classroom. I believe that I will excell at Regency Beauty Institute, Topeka campus. I look for it to lead to a very prospurse career after I graduate from the College in July of 13. I am looking forward to each day until school actually starts and I will be looking forward to each day passing to go out into the real (out of classroom setting) world to a job to please the many customers I hope that come to me for all their hair needs.

Student Body at Regency Beauty Institute - Topeka:
This is an actual campus where I will interact with people everyday face to face. The school does not start until Monday 5 November 2012. I am excited to get to know the people that I will be going to school with. I am sure that I will be one of the oldest and most likely the only man in the class. I am doing this to better myself and my family. I am doing a total career change from journeyman (finish) carpenter, to cosmotologist. There just is no work in the construction world anymore. I come from a family of cosmotologist, I do my wife's hair and my daughter's. I have done some of the girls hair for their prom because they could not afford to have it done professionally. I feel that this will boost our family financially and lift our spirits from the lack of work over the last few years. I am to please each client that I have, knowing that there will be some that no matter what you do, you would never be able to please them. I believe that I will enjoy this new career adventure, and I have the support of my family which is very important!! I want to be able to make people feel good about them selves, even if it is just a hair cut or a new style. We already open up our home to my daughter's friends and many of them want their hair highlighted but, cannot afford to have it done professionally. We keep all the stuff on hand because my wife keeps her hair highlighted. If it is ok with their parents my wife and I will do the girls' hair, we have even had some of the boys from school wanting highlights, same policy, if it is ok with the parents and we have enough we will do their hair also. My wife has had a honey pot and waxed her eyebrows for years now and our daughters. I have not attempted that one, I have left that one to the girls. I did one of the girls hair for her prom (she is a cousin to my wife), her hair was better than the ones that were done professionally and paid high dollar for. She had many complements and it really made her feel good, which made me proud. She needed that boost and I am glad that I could do it for her. Monday is coming fast and I am excited to get started learning. Like I said I will probably be the oldest at 51 and the only male. Please do not get me wrong, I am serious about this career and making a better life for my family and myself!!

Everyone actually enjoys being there and it just is a wonderful place to be. The teachers are great as well they know exactly what to do and how to teach you its a very pleasant school. I would recommend anybody that is interested in cosmetology to go to Regency!

Career Services at Regency Beauty Institute:
I have not graduated yet, but when I met with career services I was given tips and tools for programs that the school had to offer after graduation and passing state board exams. There are programs that help you seek employment, build a resume, and give you tips for interviews and accepting job offers. I liked the one on one aspect with career services to student. If the counselor is unable to help me there are other who are more than willing to help.

Academic Flexibility at Regency Beauty Institute - St. Peters:
Regency offers full time or part time classes which really help to work around your schedule. The educators and campus manager are awesome. They are so friendly and helpful. In response to the comment below, yes it can be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Regency is one of the few accredited beauty schools in Missouri which also means you can get financial aid which was really helpful for me. They even send me some checks to help cover my living expenses. As far as job placement, Regency holds salon fairs where salons around the area come into the school and set up booths so that you can talk to them. We have one coming up in about a week and I have resumes printed and ready to hand out. If you're willing to put the effort in, the school will help you with job placement, but they aren't going to hand you a job on a silver platter. This is adult education, you have to take the responsibility upon yourself. All in all, I'm very happy with the education that I have received thus far and look forward to graduating and starting my career in a couple of months. I would definitely suggest Regency to anyone interested in cosmetology!

The reason for this grade is because I love this school ever since I took my first tour of it this past August. The people were very nice, the staff and school itself look clean, well put together, and classy. The hours are perfect because since I just recently graduated from high school it was very easy for me to get right back use to waking up early and starting my day. I have learned how to do a lot of new things since I've been enrolled at Regency and I'm for one I'm so glad and proud I chose this to be my school.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
