Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Regis is a close-knit community because it is so small that you know a majority of the student body, which is great when you are walking through campus, saying "Hi!" to most of the people you see. It gives you a sense of togetherness. The professors are amazing at Regis. They are experienced and knowledgeable about their subjects, and they want you to know and understand as much as you can about their subject, so they will do whatever it takes to accomplish this goal.

They Should Dish Out More Money

I'm not the normal case because I transferred, so I got a transfer scholarship for $10,000 but that doesn't really do a dent when total costs are around $40,000, especially when my EFC is under $5,000. I got far more grants and scholarships at CSU. Some of my friends at Regis have gotten great scholarship packages though, so as always it depends on the circumstance. Transfer students never get the greatest deals. Remember, since Regis is private, the Colorado Opportunity Fund and some other grants don't work, so be mindful.

Helpful

I would say the workload is similar to any other university. I went to CSU and transferred to Regis and haven't noticed much of a difference--it just depends on what classes you're taking. Registration is very step by step, you have to see your advisor to get your schedule approved and then the day of registration, you hand you schedule to someone and they register for you. You're not on your own at all.

Off-Campus Dining at Regis University

Lots of Variety

Off-campus dining is fantastic. A five minute drive away you have 32nd ave which has all kinds of restaurants--cheap and expensive--with all sorts of food. A ten minute drive away, you have downtown which has endless places to eat, all very diverse. And on federal, a quick walk or drive away, you have fast food places galore that are perfect for late-night munchies. Almost on campus, you have Regis Pizza, Dubble Dutch, and Venice on the Blvd which are all small, quaint, inexpensive and have great food and student discounts.
