Tuition & Financial Aid:
You Have to Believe, to Achieve – I wasnt elgible for finacial aid but I took out a student loan that covers my school tuition. The money thats paying for school is worth every bit of it.Knowing that I have to pay back the student loan, I have to make the best grades as possible so that when i'm out of school I will have a good career and the loans I took out would be payed for. I believe the education here is awesome!

I love my school. The teachers are extremely helpful and are very lenient as far as working around my personal and work schedules. I rarely attend any school functions, but the ones I have attended have been fun and upbeat.

So Great – There are numerous computers in the library which has a lot of books and information. The student center is comfortable and since there are two there is always plenty of room. We are well informed about campus activities but since I have to commute I am not able to engage in many activities.

Computer Labs – You have to pay for your copies and the laps are all ways nice and quite so you can study. If you need something the works will help.

Over All – I love the college the teachers they are great and they work with you. I have done very good here. With I could get my Bachelors here.
Take Mr. Meek he is the best in Criminal Justice.
I live in a town close by I don't live in the dorms.
Uncle Joe food is the best here in INA.
Very safe the cops here are very friendly and keep an eye out. I have two night class and I know when I'm going home I will be OK they are out and about. I also work on campus and if I need something all I have to do is call them and they are right there.

Resources Not Bad – Have a study hall that is actually used to get stuff done, lots of places to sit and do homework not just library. Lots of student activities to get involved with.

Most students here are like me. I am a non-traditional student. I have been out of high school for 20 years.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I think the way the school does their financial aid is probably average with the rest of the country as far as community colleges go. They have other little programs and scholarships available if a person qualifies.

Nothing Really Unique – The only unique thing I can think of is that we have a bulletin board with a list of town in our area and if you need a ride to and from class, you can carpool with someone.

My overall experience has been fantastic at Rend Lake College. I have easy going instructors, that take pride in their teaching abilities. Rend Lake College has one of the cleanest campus's I have ever seen. I would choose Rend Lake College if I could do it all over simply because it is a lot cheaper for a student coming out of high school or for anyone who wants to make a difference, the overall experience has been great for me, and the teachers have been the best.

It's a community college, so there's not really much to do.

RLC is okay. I graduated valedictorian of my class, but RLC still kind of seems like a high school. Other than that, I am satisfied.

There are those that don't care to be there. Then, the ones that do care we work harder them the others. I am a older student so my cares are not those of the younger class of students. I can tell how some are there just because they don't want to work right now. Then us other work two jobs go to class and still get good grades.

Willing to Help – There are always faculty to talk to about progressing in your college career. Appointments are not usually needed and have very short waits when they are. You get the feeling like they really care and are willing to load you up with information.

Watch Your Deadlines – Teachers are pretty strict when it comes to online deadlines. Blackboard is used and will lock you out if you try to take your exam even one second late. Very rarely will a teacher unlock the test for you. Teachers are aware that bad apples will cheat so unit tests and exams are taken monitored on campus.

Tech/Wireless on Campus – The are numerous computer labs. The computers are high speed, there is wireless access, and you can sign up for the wi-fi here on campus. Its free. Printing on campus - some cost, some don't. Sometimes there are problems with some computers but overall its good. You don't need a laptop really, unless you just want to get things done at home. There are programs for students that lend out laptops and calc. for free!!

Great for Music Majors! This school has great staff and faculty. Everyone is friendly and willing to help their students in anyway possible. Something every student would want to have. Im a music major and the music department offers all the classes you need: lessons, theory, ear training, chorus, etc. The environment is light and fun even in the hardest of classes, you feel at home and @ ease to ask questions. Do have someone really familiar with your major to do your schedule so you wont run into problems taking a class you don't need and things like that. Other than that I'm happy with my experience and what I get for my money
Sorry, there are no reviews.
