Internet, Printers...

the computers on campus are great, but one thing ive found annoying is that internet is not readily available throughout campus.

i always have problems connecting to the internet both with my smartphone and my laptop, especially in certain classrooms.

the printers are always messing up too, which is insane consider how much we the printing fees are.

The buildings on campus tend to lack aesthetic appeal, especially on the inside. It is not uncommon to see concrete walls in the labs and nearly every building has exposed pipes and wires on the ceilings. Some of the facades are nice, though.

RPI Facilities Are Pretty Good

For the most part, the facilities at Rensselaer are excellent. There is a large fitness center, consisting of indoor tracks, basketball courts, a swimming pool, fitness center and weight lifting room. The athletic complex is relatively new and very modern. The library and student union are both excellent, providing quiet places to study as well as a variety of delicious food. The performing arts center, EMPAC, is the one drawback. It is a beautifully constructed modern work of architecture, which unfortunately sits empty most of the time, due to a lack of interest in the performing arts on campus.
