Advice on Finding a Job/Internship Career Services advocates a four-year career plan, so once you step foot on campus, get in contact with a career counselor and stay in touch with him/her. Make sure to attend the workshops, mock interviews, and any of the career programs that are available to you. Also, Career Services periodically sends out emails that fill you in on tons of information including employer listings and programs designed to give you the tools and lessons you need to figure out your future and smoothly transition into the "real world."
Did You Know?
  • Career counselors are willing to meet with students by appointment at any time Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help with things from choosing a major to writing a resume to rocking a job interview.
  • Career Services has a Facebook group and a Twitter account which help keep students up-to-date on upcoming events. The career center is also a great resource for graduates because of its updates regarding job postings and career opportunities.
