I go to the HCMC site through Ridgewater College Paramedic course. Our class is broadcasted to Ridgewater students in Hutchinson. I know that in previous classes the students at the Hutchinson campus dropped out because the reception was too hard to watch from Minneapolis, but the Minneapolis class is almost always easy in technical situations.

Because i never took an online course at Ridgewater, but i heard they are very beneficial.

Ridgewater doesn't have dorms, so most of the student body comes to school for classes and then leaves. You can make more of your experience by joining a club on campus and being involved in those events, but there are not many to choose from.

Ridgewater is a pretty small campus, and without having dorms there isn't much available for resources. There are some fun places like students life, but the rest is pretty dismal. We have a small fitness center but I don't know if it is open to everyone and we have no health services. Also, our current food provider is Taher and the meals are overpriced and usually not very good.

The college has a small work out gym where you can go for fun or during your gym class. It is not very big but a lot of people use it. Our library is great things are easy to access there.

I have talked to many people who have gone to other schools besides this one and everyone agrees that at this school your teachers are easier to get along with and are always willing to help you out. They have a commons area where we all sit and talk in groups, eat and play pool. Everyone has a great time.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I thin the amount you pay to attend this college matches greatly with the quality of education you get. I have learned a lot of valuable things in the classes I have taken at this college.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tutition is very, very low. Even if the college itself is not great, it is a cheap way to get a 2 year degree.
I did not qualify for financial aid.

Nothing spectacular, but it's what you can expect from a community college. Library with computers. There's about 6 study rooms that can be rented out.

The computer system does have a few flaws, but overall is pretty useful. I like using secured printing, so I know that I am going to get what I print off, every time.

I am an A student and receiving a B is frustrating especially because I know that having lecture every once in a while would have helped a lot. The work load wasn't too bad but I didn't get much help from the teacher.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Ridgewater has a great value for the education they provide. The Financial Aid staff is always friendly and willing to help you with any problems with your applications.

The most outstanding aspect of Ridgewater has been the amazing instructors. Every professor I've had has always been willing to put in extra time to make sure you understand the material.

The Willmar campus has a wireless network that reaches all across campus. No matter where you are, you always have access to the internet. All printing costs are paid as part of tuition, so there isn't any extra costs when you want hard copies of research or a paper.

The facilities on the Willmar campus are very good. There is a gym and weight room available to all students. Each semester, there is a student play, choir performance, and students receive free admission to all of the athletic competitions. In administration, the academic center, or in the library are always friendly and helpful.

For the most part, Career Services only provides general information. Jobs are posted in public areas, but no detailed assistance is given.

The wireless at Ridgewater is pretty great. The only time it hasn't worked for me was during the summer session when construction caused a blackout. The rest of my time there it has always worked quickly and hasn't given me any problems. There is only one major technology center for students, which is located in the library. But it serves well for the smaller campus. The computers are touch screen and all printing is free including color. There are additional computer labs for classes, especially those that specifically require them and assitance is available most of the time.

I have to give a B-, because some of the online teachers deserve an A while others definitely do not. The major downside to our online courses is that some of them are offered only online. This wouldn't be so bad, but those only offered online include all of the foreign language classes (English and Spanish). If you go to Ridgewater, Keith Green is the one to take online classes with, while the other teachers can be a bit unorganized.

The computer lab is good. Sometimes the printers will not respond to the computers, but we just ask for help and everything is well.

I have never had any issues printing or getting on a computer. The internet works well and connecting you own devices is easy also.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial aid went really easy for me and covered all of my costs for the first year and most of it the second year.
College Senior 2012-11-06T18:44:07Z
I have heard from other students that credits are very transferable from the college. When you are in a technical program there is no flexability of schedule because the classes you need are only offered at the times you have to take them. School is your full time job if you are in a technical program.
College Senior 2012-11-06T18:39:50Z
The professors are able to get to know there students because the class sizes are smaller and this is very helpful. Class registration is very smooth process if you know what your major is and the workload is doable.
College Senior 2012-11-06T18:35:41Z
We have a great facility and all the training that we need for my major, but somethimes I feel like I miss the college experience of meeting other people in different majors that a 4 year college experience might offer. However I am a hands on learner and this is a better learning path for me because I hate writing research papers!!! Our courses are not overwhelming and I am learning exactly what I thought I would.
College Senior 2012-11-06T18:32:00Z
We have a diverse student body. Mostly, my school consists of working-class people with at least a part-time job to be able to afford costs of continuning their education. I am not sure about the other technical courses but in auto tech and auto body we don't have as much interaction with other students with other majors because we are in our own little world and many of us have a job in our free time.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
