Ringling College of Art and Design seems to be fairly strict on their policies regarding drugs and alcohol, but either I'm just not around the sort of company that associates itself with it, but as far as I know, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of people that art interested in having the stuff much.

There are places like a Burger King that is incredibly close to the student campus, but as a biased at least they have a Chinese restaurant fairly close by as well.

One of my all time favorite places to be is the library. It is just filled with so many art books and the like that can be so inspirational. I tend to joke that I want to graduate from the college just so I could have complete access to it outside of my college years. We also have quite a number of galleries around our campus to have ample opportunities for all sorts of gallery shows. One downside I can imagine is that on campus there's only 2 places to potentially eat on campus, either the cafeteria that has nicely cooked meals at certain times, or the outtakes cafe which has some freshly food provided like pizza, but otherwise is the very small local grocery store. At least there's always Burger King nearby if you're in a hurry to get something to eat.

Is has a fair amount of things a student can do when they're not too busy with schoolwork. Be it beaches, St. Armand's Circle to go shopping or out to eat. One really nice place is Yummy House that is really close to the campus.

Our school focuses on the arts, so we don't put much of a budget on sports as far as I know. There is some sports oriented stuff for those on campus who happen to be of the athletic sort however, but I don't see it often advertised. The only facility that feels to have aspects of athleticism that stands out most for me is the fitness center.

Ringling college of art and design is known to be the college that sets the standard when it comes to the amount of technology utilized, and that is very much true. And each student is provided a laptop. The only problem I have in regards to that is that there should be fine print or emphasis that BRAND NEW laptops are only given to freshman. As a transfer student who came in as a sophomore, I got a USED laptop that was cleaned out, formerly used by a freshman who didn't make it past their first year. I didn't find out about this until the very moment I went to pick up my laptop. Getting that "sparkling brand new" laptop as they had advertised turned out to be a bit disappointing.

I haven't utilized their public transportation to the fullest, but at least it's free, and therefore always available when I need it. My only problem is that when it comes to having in class field trips, unless you have a car, you either have to carpool or walk there if it's not too far, but even so it's still an inconvenience. Hopefully you manage to make friends who can carpool when that happens.

Our college is filled with an incredible amount of diversity. You just look around and see all sorts of people who looks, behave, and express themselves differently.

Health & Safety:
The quality of the health center is relatively nice, but on some days, the class hours really conflict with their office hours. When it comes to safety on campus, it's fairly nice, you always see police officers around a majority of the time, but it doesn't stop the occasional stranger walking around on campus asking for money. Also admittedly our campus isn't very far from a sketchy neighborhood, so it's always best to keep on your toes, and take a different route if you're a commuter who has to drive home alone at night.

I'm an Illustration major in my college and so far the education has been incredibly amazing. My college professors who are within my own field are truly interesting people, who seem to have my and my classmates' best interests at heart.

At Ringling College of Art and Design, I have heard a lot about the workload given to the students and what is expected of them, and it is no joke. Knowing how to manage your time day by day is incredibly important.

With a place like Florida, for a good solid month or so we've had to experience a lot of rain on campus, ranging from a light drizzle to intense downpour with thunder and lightning that at times would hit too close to home. For some people with fears of going out in such weather (like myself), having to walk to and from class can be a bit nerve-wracking.

I found the process to be one where I had to constantly be monitoring things to make sure nothing fell through the cracks.

I've only experienced their campus dining once at student orientation, and from the choices I made, the food they provided was quite amazing in flavor, variety, and quality. However I'm not sure if it might become more mundane or average as the year progresses.

Guys & Girls:
There are girls of all sorts on campus, each and every one of them expressing themselves in many different ways. Some are more flamboyant and "out there" in their choice of wardrobe, others are more conservative, while others are dressed completely for comfort, fashion senses or not.

The school is strict about graduation requirements as well as the classes needed to be taken for the major you signed up for; however, the counselors doesn't seem to be that informative when anyone needs to know whether or not we are missing credits or anything in general. They let us know at the last second which is basically by the time we all graduate. Frustrating and not helpful tuition wise when you are taking extra classes because of that.

The Library is excellent source of material anyone needs for Research papers, drawing and etc. The space inside is very comfortable and even finding the books you need is organized. Plus, the librarians are very helpful when it comes to helping anyone with finding info out. Even the space out side the campus is very roomy and peaceful to relax in; however, outside of campus (outside the barriers) is a little bit unsettling.

Guys & Girls:
There are all types of guys and girls ranging from different countries to being geeky or hardworking. Everyone is one huge family and is willing to help one another. I've never seen anyone act immature just cause. Everyone has the same similarities and differences that it's easy to make friends and have a fun time, plus when it comes to help for homework or projects, they really know how to give it their all.
College Senior 2013-10-23T06:33:46Z
The Social Activities are very engaging and great for anyone who needs to relax, and just hang out and have fun from long weeks of work.Security has improved since freshman year, and even the faculty and professors are very helpful when it comes to interships, or work in general. Though, the counselors can be a little bit more on top of letting students know ahead of time of what they are missing, they seem to let them know when it's too late.

The Greek life is there. but not to obvious. Everyone seems to get along nicely with no segregation due to race, religion, etc.

Guys & Girls:
Guy and girls equally are active. However it is hard to see people doing anything else than their major class related stuff.
College Junior 2013-10-13T09:41:53Z
There are public transportation available. But the destinations are very limited.

They give you a free MacBook Pro stocked with amazing and expensive design programs during orientation week. Yeah you could say they're pretty good.

Guys & Girls:
Art schools are tough. There are some hot guys here. The only problem is that they aren't interested in girls.

They have a Facebook but I didn't find it helpful. I found my apartment very quickly using rental websites.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
