Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Overall, Ripon is "home" to so many students, and it certainly does feel that way. Ripon College is a community in itself. People know each other, and it's great because you either know everyone's name or at least their face. Campus is familiar, like a home would be. The people on campus (such as the faculty, staff, and other students) care about each other genuinely. Students meet their best friends here or their future spouses. Regardless, the relationships made at Ripon are ones that last. And it's not just the sense of community. The overall experience includes academics, and frankly, Ripon does it right. Ripon offers a small, personal learning environment that encourages discussion and critical thinking. It gets everyone involved in some way. The opportunities that are made available to Ripon's students are endless and abounding, and the awesome thing is, your professors encourage you every step of the way to grab those experiences and let them change you and help you grow. That's what Ripon is: a place to grow.

Ripon challenges students to try new things and put themselves in situations that will help prepare them for their future. The staff and faculty at Ripon do what they can to help students ready themselves for their professional careers and get students to step out of their comfort zones. They encourage all to greet the world beyond Ripon with a smile, tenacity, intuition, and fearlessness. Ripon is unique in these ways. Due to its size and personable qualities, the school allows for one-on-one relationships, and it is through these relationships that students gather gems of knowledge that help them prepare for life after Ripon College. It is this that puts Ripon above the rest.

Fan Support in Ripon

For a small Division III school in a small town, support is good. Students are often at games and often people from the community come as well.

Off-Campus Housing

If you don't live within thirty miles of campus or have a disability, don't plan on living off campus at all.

Good but Gets Old

They constantly have the same food every week and I like a variety all the time. If you don't want to eat in the Commons don't plan on eating healthy at all. I have dining dollars and meals so I can go to the Commons and other places on campus as well.
