Not bad, but the college forces kids to live on campus so it would have to be.

Though it did take time to get the financial aid I needed, I did get it and received many good quality scholarships. Financial aid here is extremely good.

Most people are from Wisconsin, have parents or relatives from Wisconsin, or are closely associated with the state. Not many people from far out decide to go to the college.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:24:08Z
It's practically in the middle of nowhere, and there's not much to do off campus besides throwing yourself into tons of activities and greek groups, who you know everyone already and that makes it kind of boring.

Guys & Girls:
There is a scale that adds plus two to every girl, because there are so few pretty girls that if you don't add two to their scale you can't justify going out with them. Many guys have to lower their standards. The very few girls that are hot are extremely stuck up and usually only date football, baseball, or basketball players. So overall just a horrible college if you are looking for girls. If your looking for guys, lots of attractive single ones.

Parties consist of basically lots of people drinking in a hall, filing through rooms which play music. Booze is always free, though it is hard to get into parties if you do boot know the people who go. However if you make some friends it's pretty easy to go.

I don't have a car, so it is very hard for me to give an opinion.

Health & Safety:
Very comfortable being on campus, not really anything to worry about.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:15:58Z
Just terrible, Sodexo is the food provider and they are cheap. I eat sandwiches and cereal daily.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:14:52Z
Not really anyway to get anywhere, if you don't have a car you aren't going anywhere.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:14:07Z
School does not encourage and usually refuses to let students live off-campus.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:13:17Z
It's extremely cold, but it's Wisconsin so that should be accepted.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:12:52Z
I really do like the people and the professors, however the lack of anything to do outside of the college coupled with the excessive drinking every single weekend but around 40-60% or the student body makes it very hard to schedule different events.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:11:31Z
Just very average, it's a small college and for that they have a nice variety. However there athletics do lack focus and athletes who do not play football, baseball, or basketball are not appreciated at all. Even if those athletes are NCAA qualifiers.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:09:19Z
Very few dining locations are coupled with everything closing around 5pm. Thus it is very hard to eat off campus, whose food is horrible.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:08:00Z
Some are very welcoming, however quite a few are not.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T06:07:00Z
It's a great college, it's just a very small town.
College Freshman 2013-11-04T21:23:02Z
The weather isn't bad at all.
College Freshman 2013-11-04T21:22:42Z
Our campus is 30% Greek. For the most part, they all get along. It isn't good or bad if you're in a Frat or sorority. People basically don't care if you are Greek or not.
College Freshman 2013-11-04T21:21:14Z
Repetitive and not that great.
College Senior 2013-10-11T02:34:03Z
For a small town, we do have some good options. The biggest issue is that many of them aren't open past ten, which doesn't always make them a good option for college students. The quality is good, just not the hours.
College Senior 2013-10-11T02:32:19Z
Overall, it is pretty good. The security officers are very lenient, and really don't like to get people in trouble if at all possible. If you aren't making too much noise, there usually isn't a problem.
College Senior 2013-10-11T02:27:33Z
The weather makes the biggest difference in the winter on this campus. Sometimes it can take a while to clear the walkways, which can make it kind of slippery. Other than that, it isn't too bad.

I love the athletics at Ripon College. I am a cross country and track athlete, so I have a first-hand knowledge of the sports scene. The majority of students on campus are involved in sports, which is a great testament to the quality of the sports programs. At Ripon, it isn't always about how fast you can run or how far you can throw-it is about your passion for the sport, and you willingness to work hard to meet whatever goal you have set for yourself
College Senior 2013-08-16T04:16:47Z
The local atmosphere is very charming and inviting. Ripon, although small, is a very dignified college town. It has quaint little shops, and lots of parks located throughout the city. I have always felt safe, and I always feel very welcomed by the people in the town. People seem to be proud of the college and the high standards it holds its students to.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
