Usually as long as you're not an idiot about things, you don't have to worry about campo. There are definitely some power trippers, though. It's not hard to stay out of trouble.

For a school that I am paying a lot of money for I would expect them to be more on top of their students outside of class especially drinking for underage students and drugs. I come from Richmond, VA were drugs were everywhere and beated the odds of not going to college and I would appreciate that my college give students that respect.

Roanoke College is committed to keeping students here and allowing them to finish their college career. If you are caught drinking or doing weed etc. You go before the Student Conduct Council. Its basically a three trikes and your out policy. And no one is looking to get you in trouble. You only get in trouble if you are dumb enough to get caught.

Campus strictness is unbelievable at RoCo... As a freshman I have received two offenses... Just in my first semester. Campo (Campus Police) is really strict when it comes to underage drinking and public intoxication (violation #1). They make you an appt. with the Dean of Students and give you a hearing to determine your punishment (usually a warning and you have to pay a fine). With the second offense you have a meeting and a hearing to determine your punishment (this time usually community service and a higher fine). I haven't gotten to a 3rd offense yet but I will let you know the consequences when I do!

Laid Back "Cam-Po" – Campus police a.k.a. "campo", is laid back with good officers. Underage drinking is not tolerated on campus, but for those who want to, there's always the off-campus soriority and fraternity houses. Campo are quick to respond to lockouts, escorts, and are friendly in general.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
