All Around a Great Environment

The one thing I found unique about RMU is that the majority of the professors work in the field that they teach. They also use "real life issues" to make the subjects relevant. The professors are also surprisingly supportive and available to students. They take their time to explain things and make the students feel like they personally care about your future. I once told a professor that I felt like I was every professor's favorite student; just based off of the genuine concern they have for the success of the students.

The campus is clean and technologically up to date. There is a lounge area where students congregate that has a movie theater, regularly scheduled television programs, a cafe, computer access, pool table, electronic games; everything you need after a hard day at class.

We're All in This Together

RMU has a diverse student body. If you visit the school during traditional daytime hours, you see that there are mostly younger students. Many different races, economic backgrounds, sexual preferences; and yet they all get along. In the evening, the student body mostly consists of working, older adults. However, the diversity is not much different than the younger student body. The best thing about the students at RMU is that we all help each other and lift each other up. If we see that one of our classmates are having a rough time, we assemble study groups. Everyone is there to reach the common goal---a college degree, and we all push each other to get there.
