Greek Life at RMU is growing right now at an astronomical rate. In the past four years alone, Greek Life has gone from less that three percent of the whole campus to an outstanding 9 percent in 2013, a number which will continue to grow in the 2013-2014 school year. The Greeks at RMU also have raised more money for philanthropies and accumulated more community service hours than any other campus organizations. One of the fraternities just raised over two thousand dollars for the B Positive foundation. Another sorority raised over three thousand during an auction event for Variety Pittsburgh. Both of these organizations that received the money are to help children in need, often times with diseases and disabilities. So as opposed to a D- for Greek Life at RMU, I would give it an A+ and highly recommend giving it a shot and not listening to stereotypes.

RMU's Greek life is definitely not as big as at other schools, but it is still a part of the RMU landscape. Though some students at RMU may be indifferent or even negative toward Greek life, that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist or thrive. Some say that RMU isn't the right type of school for Greek life, but if you were to ask any student who is a part of RMU Greek life, they will tell you that it is a great experience for students, especially with the benefits of doing so much for both the school and the community.
RMU's Greek life is pretty active, with events, activities, and organizations throughout the school year. Greek life members can live in the Greek suites for each fraternity and sorority. Simply enough, Greek life at RMU has come a long way, and it is definitely a tight-knit group.
