Regarding mental health, Rochester College has a psychology clinic that makes itself available to students by appointment. Services are available to all full-time RC students, and the first five appointments are free. RC also has relationships with other counseling centers in the Rochester Hills municipal region. Contact Student Services or your resident hall adviser for further information.

With respect to off-campus public safety entities, the Rochester Fire Department provides fire protection for residents and visitors (fire and emergency medical help). Police protection for Rochester Hills is provided via the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Students are encouraged to call 911 in case of an emergency.

It is a small campus with hardly any security issues. There is not police on campus, but I have never felt unsafe.

Personal Safety

I am only giving a B for personal safety because I have never seen a police presence while on campus, however, I feel extremely safe when attending classes, lab, library and/or the cafe.
