Not the best, the food is pretty much the same every week.

Amazing Options on and Off Campus – Rockhurst University offers three dining options on-campus, with a variety of food options (planet-sub is AWESOME!) With the campus being so close the the plaza shopping area, dining options are available less than a mile away including places like Chipotle, and Gates BBQ. You can't go wrong with Rockhursts' dining options.

Good but Not Fabulous – There are three on campus options for food: Planet Sub, which of course has a variety of sub sandwiches along with chips, dip, candy, drinks, ice cream, sushi and other things. There is also a mini Starbucks with a variety of beverage options along with pastries, fruit bars and granola bars. Then there is the cafeteria which has three different sections for food, you have the sandwich and smoothie bar where your meal is made how you want it, you have the grill which will have things like chicken nuggets, fries, grilled cheese, etc. and there's the main entree section which will have things like spaghetti, toasted ravioli, etc. Both the grill and the main entree section are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also in the cafeteria there is the salad and soup bar, the yogurt, packaged salads and packaged sandwiches area and the demo station. The demo station is great; you can see your food being cooked right in front of you. The last on campus option is the Pub which is very popular with options like hot wings, grilled chicken caesar salads, wraps, etc.. All of the options are good; it gets old just like any other college campus food. If you need to go out there a lot of inexpensive options right around the area including McDonalds, Go chicken go, Popeye's, Captain d's, and other restaurants in the Plaza which is like 10 minutes away from school. If you have a car or if you have friends with cars, feel free to take drives to find out different restaurants that you will enjoy. My friends and I have never had trouble finding great places to eat.

The food at Rockhurst University is great for college dining. Everything is a la carte so you don't have to over eat, or use your meal for the day if you just want a soda and a granola bar. Between the dining hall and the Pub (which is more cafeteria food), it gets a little old. However, there is a Planet Sub and a Starbucks downstairs in the Rec Room in order to add a little pizzaz to your dining experience. All the workers are especially friendly and always willing to cook up a special order if you ask nicely!

Overpriced and Underquality – The meal plans are ridiculously expensive. The least expensive option is still way too much. Being forced to pay thousands and thousands of dollars for food makes it even more difficult to pay for school. The meal points don't roll over to fall semester, making it a huge waste of money. The food is also not anywhere close to reasonably priced. I'd rather live on Ramen noodles, which are way cheaper, and even though they're not the best for you, neither is the food offered on campus. Everything seems to be fried and full of fat. I wish there was a healthier option. Also, you'd think if you're spending $10 on a small meal, it would be delicious. However, that is not the case at all. There are only 3 dining options on campus, and usually only one or two are open. Sometimes none are open. There hsould be some food source that is constantly open, or vending machines that accept meal points instead of cash. There aren't many close, safe dining options off campus, as we're smack dab in the middle of a very dangerous neighborhood. The campus dining needs some serious work.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
