Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The facilities at Rollins are beautiful and perfectly well-kept. People refer to Rollins as “Rollins College Country Club” because of its "country club" feel. Rollins has traditionalSpanish/Mediterranean-style architecture, and it feels like paradise. The Cornell Campus Center offers picturesque views, looking out over the pool and Lake Virginia. The library is very nice, a good size for the size of the school. The library has four floors, and the higher up the floor, the quieter it becomes. There are also study rooms, but they are hard to obtain. At the very top of the library there is a pillow room where students can sit and do work. In terms of athletics, the gym is somewhat small, but students usually don’t have problems finding a machine available. Students learn what times are best and when it is least crowded.

Most of the dorms are clean and well-kept, as well. The classrooms are all bright and filled with windows, and they are always clean. Rollins is constantly renovating old buildings and fixing up its facilities to make them as great as possible. The landscaping at Rollins is always well-maintained, and you can almost always hear lawn mowers and see workers perfecting the bushes and flowers. The College's beauty constantly baffles students and visitors.

Gym, Pool, on-Campus Museums..What More Could You Want?

The facilities at Rollins College are really good, especially for such a small school. There are regular classes at the gym- available for everyone, in yoga, zumba, pilates..and much more, all for free! There is also a swimming pool on campus- a favorite hang out spot after a long day of hard work! Of course there's also a beautiful lake to relax by or participate in many water sports- you can even rent a canoe or sail boat from the school, for no additional cost! Dominoes is on call, and with the campus centre, grill, and starbucks-style cafe on campus, there's not much more you could need!

Gyms Are Nice

Rollins athletic centers are very nice and modern. However, the one downfall is that there is only one of them. The exercise equipment is usually always full so getting a machine is rare on some days.

THE CAMPUS IS MUST SEE!

The campus buildings are amazing. They are clean and so pretty! Rollins has some of the nicest buildings and aesthetics that I have seen for a college. Rollins is known for it beauty, and they don't let it down. Rollins is also redoing the science building so that it will be even better than before! If you want one of the most beautiful campuses in the world come to Rollins!

Facts

"Green" Initiatives

There are many green initiatives going on, including Sodexo's commitment to offer healthy, organic options. Plus, the College strives to be green through low-flow shower heads and high-efficiency lighting.

Favorite Things To Do

During the day, you can catch some rays at the always popular pool before heading off to class, grab an iced coffee to cool down at Dianne's Café, or enjoy a mesmerizing play at either the Annie Russell or the Fred Stone theaters without ever needing to leave campus.

Most students at Rollins visit the gym or the pool at least once a day. Both of these crowded destinations attract students looking to socialize as much as they do those who want to work out or get a tan. Around noon, the Cornell Campus Center teems with students getting lunch and meeting up with friends. Soccer games attract large crowds at Rollins, as do plays, and it seems that during weeknights, there are always students in the Olin Library concentrating (or at least trying to) on their work.
