College Prowler Take
It isn’t uncommon to hear people visiting Rollins for the first time remark something like, “This looks more like a country club than a college!” Rollins’s campus is a picture of paradise, combining traditional Florida flair with a Northeastern feel that is difficult to pinpoint. The Cornell Campus Center offers breathtaking views, almost making the common cafeteria food served there feel like more upscale dining. Many pay at least one visit to the pool or to the lake every day, making Rollins a sun-worshipping campus. Recently, the campus added a new soccer field with a lot of aesthetic appeal. However, many players and fans have found fault with its lack of functionality, especially given the outrageous cost of its construction. Though the campus has only one library, it seems adequate for the size of the school, and most find the relatively small but decently-equipped gym to be ample as well. Many students are initially drawn to Rollins for its beautiful campus, and it is hard to surpass the sheer splendor of this petite tropical paradise. Rollins takes great care to build and maintain its facilities, and it’s rare to find a college so clean and new. Few people can complain about the facilities on campus for this reason.

Facilities are beautiful! The athletic facility, which is where I spend most of my time, is amazing, because you have a weight room for all the Rollins students. There is also a beautiful basketball and volleyball court downstairs where many games occur, and the crowds are large. There is also a workout room for dance teams or for various ab or yoga classes. What is really amazing is that these classes are free to any student! This really helps because—come on, now—we are college students! |

The facilities are really nice. The athletic center is very new—I think only a few years old—and it is beautiful. Cornell Campus Center is really nice—that’s where you find the majority of the places to eat. It overlooks the lake, so it’s nice to sit by the window to eat your dinner. |

The facilities are always kept clean and nice. The fitness center is nice but pretty small and always busy. The soccer field is very nice—it was just renovated with new bleachers. Tennis courts are very nice, but off-limits at night, usually. The library is nice, but doesn’t have much variety for new fiction books. |

FactsWhat To Do on Campus
During the day, you can catch some rays at the always popular pool before heading off to class, grab an iced coffee to cool down at Dianne’s Café, or enjoy a mesmerizing play at either the Annie Russell or the Fred Stone Theater without ever needing to leave campus.
Favorite Things To Do
Most students at Rollins visit the gym or the pool at least once a day. Both of these crowded destinations attract students looking to socialize as much as they do those who want to work out or get a tan. Around noon, the Cornell Campus Center teems with students getting lunch and meeting up with friends. Soccer games attract large crowds at Rollins, as do plays, and it seems that during weeknights, there are always students in the Olin Library concentrating (or at least trying to) on their work.
Bar on Campus
- None, though a number are within walking distance.
